The good: - Enjoy the bay without owning a boat or mooching off someone who does -Same day availability, even during summer -The folks at the ticket counter are nice and fast (so dont worry initially as you approach the long line) - Smooth ride - Reasonable pricing The bad: - If you don't bring a bike, even if you... Showed up at the Blue & Gold Fleet Ticket Office at 4 pm on a cool, windy, Sunday afternoon and for only $30, was able to buy a ticket on the one-hour Golden Gate Bridge / Alcatraz boat ride departing at 430 pm. The boat departed on time and was full but not overcrowded. Sailed right past the masses of... More

We took this tour while on a family, 10 of us, vacation in San Francisco. We were lucky enough to take the tour on a beautiful, clear day and the water was nice and flat. We went to the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, the Bay bridge and around the bay. It started at pier 39 and we took the first... More

A nice way to get great views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It passes by Alcatraz at the slower pace so you can look at it properly. Don't bother with the audio service because the noise from outside drowns out any sound that you may be able to hear!! We also saw a few dolphins in the bay which was... More

Three of us arranged to meet up. Two were tourists, the other a Berkley resident. Generally, all is avoid eateries in touristy areas but decided to take a chance since it was after 9 pm. Decent, filling clam chowder and salad. Tiramisu better than in New York where I'm from.

Enjoyable trip around the bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge. Trip goes past Alcatraz (couldn't visit as overbooked) so you can see the island and great views of San Francisco skyline, even when a little foggy!

A great trip around the bay, 60 minutes well spent, with different views of the City, Bay, Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge, not to mention Alcatraz. The boats are a little old, and the seating accommodation a bit spare and on the poor side but nothing can detract from seeing the City and the main attractions from the... More

There are likely no less than a dozen of these companies that sell boat charters. I have to admit, though average, there is nothing about this company that gives an appeal to come back. The ships are a little aged and the staff aren't all that interested in guest experience. TIP - There are plenty of small fishing boats that... More

The Bay Cruise offered by the Blue & Gold Fleet is a wonder 60 minute cruise through the San Francisco Bay providing you with plenty of photo opportunities that would be tough to get on land. As you head out, you'll get a great up close view of the famous Pier 39 sea lions as you make your way towards... More
