We took the ferry to angel island. The ships are well maintained and the staff very friendly. While you need to ferry over to the island you get the bonus of spectacular views of the golden gate and bay bridges, Alcatraz, tiburon and Sausalito. A low cost way to enjoy the bay and surrounding areas.

I booked myself and 3 kids on the Escape from the rock tour since all the Alcatraz tours were sold out. The boat ride was 1 1/2 hours and we rode for $105 family tickets. They tour was great you can move around the boat as you like. They broadcast an audio tour while you ride so we learned alot... More

This ferry ride wasn’t too long and fun for the kids. Discounted tickets can be found on Travel zoo. I recommend comparing price. If you buy the tickets directly from them there is a deal of $90 for two adults and however many kids. It is also part of the city pass. Red and white is 1/2 hour longer and... More

Each 4th of July this Cruise is offered. It was so MUCH better than we anticipated. The cruise left on time at 5:30. The ship paused beside Alcatraz so people could take photos. The food provided by Angel Island Cafe was delicious and of extremely good quality. Lemonade and Tea also. The shuttle took us high on the city facing... More

We walked across the Golden Gate Bridge and down to Sausalito. Little bit of a sketchy walk from the bridge to Sausalito but the ferry was great for walkers. There was a HUGE line. Turns out they were all bikers. Walkers get in and off first. Worked for us!

Beautiful views of both the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatrez. Would definitely recommend taking one of these tours. You can purchase your tickets and the tickets are good for any departure time. No reservation required.

The bay cruise was perfect for after lunch. Relaxing and good way to see the golden gate bridge. We even saw whales. The staff is friendly and answered all our questions. Would do again.

We took the boat tour that went near the Golden Gate Bridge & Alcatraz. It was tough to hear, at times, due to the low speaker volume. Overall it was an enjoyable tour.

We did the Bay Cruise which is set at 30USD. It's a 50-60 minutes cruise from the Pier 39 to the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz and back to the Pier. They play a recording with some interesting facts, but it generally lacks personality. I think it's a nice tour, but it's definitely overpriced.

We did this tour of the bay, we highly enjoyed it. We seen whales, dolphins, sea lions, and birds. Wish they would have got closer to the whales for better viewing as they were far away. But we seen tons of spouting. $30 each pretty good deal for an hour tour. The Red and White Bpat tour is an hour... More
