Union Street might be second only to Union Square, downtown for shopping options, yet Union Street out towards the Marina & Cow Hollow, offers up high end boutique stores, fine restaurants & good fun in a compact 5-8 block area. Enjoy!

Walked down this street. Lovely. Valentines day balloons flying. Folks with flowers from their love. Just adorable. A great city scape (anytime).

Union Street runs east/west through a large portion of San Francisco, from Montgomery Street to the Presidio. I like the section in the Cow Hollow Neighborhood best because of its look, atmosphere and myriad offerings. Lovely Edwardian and Victorian structures contribute heavily to the makeup...More

After seeing this street in a number of movies and programs it was on our list of must sees. We walked up from Fisherman's Wharf. While a bit of a hike, it was not too bad and worth the effort. Next time I will get...More

Union Street seems out of the way only until you get ther and discover the vibrancy of it. Besides, if a street has its own Assiciation then there must be a lot going on, and it is as you'll experience. It's quite a long street...More

We stayed close to Union Street, so it was my main shopping destination. There are lots of different shops here and some good food places too including the excellent Roam Burger and La Boulange for coffee. It really reminded me a lot of Bridge Street...More

Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
