Make this venture more enjoyable by determining why the bridge is a tourist attractions.

Many people want to go across the bridge but have no reason why. I recommend during one of the hop on hop off tours that will take you across the bring and to many other sites.

The sunset cruise of the bay that leaves from the Wharf is a must!!! A tour tour of the bay and it sails right under the Golden Gate bridge. Our pictures are spectacular, and if you don't have time to do the bridge, this is a good way to see it, as well as other scenery all at once. Highly... More

1 hour boat tour under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz for $130 for five people was OK. Not only the tour and views itself, but also the guide and narration was great, and gave some background for the following days visit to San Francisco. Only - the 16 guide languages did not include Danish, so our kids got... More

Seeing the San Francisco Bay waters is a must for any first time tourist to San Francisco. You can take the ferry from the Ferry Building, San Francisco to Sausalito, go sailing in bay waters, or walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. This area provides many photo opportunities. It can be a bit windy and chilly by the waters; it... More

The San Francisco “Bay Area” is a shallow river dominated by the large cities of San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose. It then flows into the Pacific Ocean via the Golden Gate strait. You have the opportunity to see the bay from many vantage points – on shore – the bridge – the piers and by boat. It is an... More

We did a Bay Cruise boat trip, lasted an hour and took us under the bridge and then back around Alcatraz. Great sightseeing trip on a lovely sunny day. The audio commentary was very good.

We took the ferry (Blue and Gold Fleet) from Pier 41 over to Sausalito and it was an awesome way to see the sights. An amazing up close view of Alcatraz, the Golden Gate and a beautiful skyline back to San Francisco. It cost $28USD for 2 of us for the round trip and was worth it! A must for... More
