I prefered the view from the bay, but visiting onw of the most famous bridges in the world was amazing. Dont forget to take some hoodie, sometimes it gets windy up there.

There's not much to say. It's one of the most photographed, filmed, talked about and sung about bridges in the world.

If the weather is decent take a walk across the bridge to fully appreciate the scale of it. I've walked it, cycled it, flown over it, sailed under it and been stuck in traffic jams on it. It's always spectacular.

Walking or by bike, this is a Landmark worth visiting. Often you have to wait in line for hours before entering the Landmark site. The only thing here is to look out of your window and check the wheather. Impressive!

This is a historic site that also happens to be beautiful and wonderful for pictures at any time, even when it is all covered with fog. Partially clear views of the bridge may result in grand pictures too. A full moon and a sunset view...More

You cannot visit San Francisco without at least looking at this stunning bridge, drive/ride across it for great views.

We were there in peak holiday time, so very slow travelling on the bridge, and so much traffic. The views however were worth it.

Personally I would do a Hop on Hop off double decker bus tour (Grey Line) and take the tour of the city which includes a stop at the bridge. Busses run about every half hour so you'll have flexibility to walk around. You... More
