We just saw it from outside while we went for a walk. Wouldn't recommend walking at night alone, but it was a lovely sight.

The Civic Center Plaza is beautiful. There are art exhibits and a playground. Easy to walk or sit. Close to the Orpheum, Davies Symphony Hall, Opera House and great restaurants.

Great architecture, but what you may look from the park in outside, it will be a small part of you are going to see inside. Obviously, you will find supervision at the entrance, but they will ask for few time only. If you will be...More

This big open square has a couple of grant beaux arts buildings, the superb City Hall and the excellent Asian Art Museum (formerly the library). Nearby are the symphony hall and opera house. The square itself has been re-designed many times, but they just can't...More

Here's another building for the architecture nerd tour. Classical architecture, the Civic Center was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987. It was so striking we just stood and looked at it.

While going around the city of San Francisco we passed by the Civic Centre and liked its impressive architecture. Wished we had time to go inside and admire its rotunda.

Walked around the Civic center and the United Nations Plaza and enjoyed the atmosphere and views all around. The statue of Simon Bolivar is very pretty.

What a lovely impressive building. Gorgeous architecture with its golden dome top. Stands tall and commands attention from every angle however the homeless ruin the scene by being strewn around the lawn and between the trees.

Civic Center
Civic Center is the seat of power for all things
government and performance-related in the city.
Although its streets are best walked during daytime,
numerous cultural gems are within close proximity to
one another. The symphony, opera, ballet, and jazz
center offer year round entertainment within the
shadow of the city’s Beaux-Arts crown jewel: the gold
tipped dome of City Hall.
