Visitors here with my family for my daughters 1st birthday. Great spot with plenty to do. The Hard Rock Cafe as you enter puts on a good meal an is reasonably priced. There is lots of shops once you get walking in there an also a few kids attractions like a merry go around there. If your there for lunch... More

Plenty of shops and they are priced cheaper than Chinatown. I reckon you spend 2 hours and stay there for a good dinner. I was told best time to look at the seals is in the morning, which I will try again.

Our recent Celebrity cruise was docked at pier 35, so walking over to pier 39 only took a few minutes. So much to see here! Definitely worth a visit. Whether you're after a fresh pretzel, a carousel ride, Christmas ornaments, or a tasty lunch, you'll find it all here! The famous harbor sea lions are also just on the other... More

The best part of the Pier 39 are the sea lions. There are many of them and they are really funny!! You can't approach them, but the distance for observation is very good. The Pier itself is a outside shopping mall with curious tourist stores and tourist food restaurants. But the food is not bad there, actually we had very... More

Tourist driven and over hyped in my opinion. Loved seeing the seal lions though. It is something you should see though and if you get a ferry anywher, you will be down there anyway. The fact that the weather was nearly 40 degrees Celsius and it was Sunday when we went, it was over crowded as well

We were there off a cruise ship. We walked to Pier 39 because I wanted to see the "famous" seals. There were two docks full but it was fun. It was a little crowded. There are plenty of places to eat and plenty of shops to spend your money. Wish I had more time to stop, shopp and eat.

Just walk around and have fun. The parking is a bit expensive so park and plan to spend the day wandering around

A nice walk with an opportunity to see the sea lions which you can't observe just lounging like this anywhere else. The rest of the pier was quite touristy but still worth the walk through.
