It was terrible weather, and the climb was tougher than expected. That slowed us down a bit, but it didn’t stop us. Even in lousy weather, it is a great climb and a wonderful park.

This is a nice park. There are some nice views of the city. It's never very crowded if you're looking for some peace and quiet. It hasn't been taken over by tourists like many popular parks and attractions in the city. The downside is there is no restroom at the park.

If you're visiting San Francisco, with limited time, skip a trip to Mt. Davidson. It's a nice walk, but there's MUCH nicer.

This is the hill that I grew up seeing while I grew up. It has a big concrete cross on it. The eucalyptus trees have grown up around it and it's not so visible now. It was great to finally go there one day. I took my dog and we had a great hike and it was a wonderful view... More

It is a nice stroll up to the top. You don't have to work too hard to get there. The views up there are amazing. And at the top there is this Armenian memorial represented in a big cross in remembering the genocide that was perpetrated btw 1915-23. It's a good view of San Francisco, the ocean, and across the... This is one of those places where you feel like you have just discovered a little hidden secret. Mount Davidson is right in the middle of a residential neighborhood (a very nice residential neighborhood at that) and there are many places to stop and begin your adventure. Take any one of the many trails and walk to the top. You... More

There are lots of lesser known, open space areas with good views of the city. Like most, there's a bit of a hike to get to the top. This is one my favorites to go to on good days for photos.

I would recommend this over Twin Peaks primarily just because you have to walk to the top. Once up there, you see Twin Peaks, but it's not in front of the view of the city. Awesome Awesome views. Park at Myra and Dalewood and walk up. Enjoy the hike. There are plenty of trails in the woods but it's pretty... More

On a clear day, you can see far out onto the ocean (Westward), you may even see a whale. The history & peacefulness of the hike is well worth the time it'self! Soak in the view of the city (North Eastward) on a sunny day, but bring water & a snack, or a lunch (& your camera). You will always... More
