My husband and I took an afternoon tour on a Thursday. We had a great experience. I am not a beer expert by any means, but I enjoyed the stories about the history and the old pictures and bottles in the tasting room. They give...More

This is one of my top three favorite brewery tours I’ve been on. It’s one of the oldest breweries in the US and still brews a lot of things by hand in old copper kettles. It’s a great tour and you get a solid amount...More

This place is really great! The 20-30 minute tour is so cool! You get to hold the barley and Hops. Samples are amazing too!

Great tour! Both informative and interesting. Really gave me an appreciation for Anchor. Glad I finally took it after living in the Bay Area for 30+ years.

Ancho = Brewing history — still making beer using 19th century methods only moderately changed with the advent of technologies. Great story about the revival of the brewery as an original craft brewery in the ‘60s and 70’s

Jarred was an excellent tour guide of this HISTORICAL BREWERY. As a seasoned brewer and beer judge, I found his information to be both approachable for someone with zero knowledge yet still quite topical/relevant for brewers. He was welcoming, engaging, funny and fun! The tour...More

Really interesting to hear the history of this brewery and how they still use many of the original methods and equipment to make the beer. Tap room over the road is a must to visit, nice range of beers and friendly atmosphere.

Our guide, Jarred, was great, and we loved learning the history behind the brewery. The variety of brews we got to try was such a treat, and we thought the $25 tour price was really a pretty good value. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at...More

Learned a lot and drank a bunch of awesome beer. Don’t forget to go across the street Anchor Public Taps when you are done with the tour.

Excellent tour! Educational and funny. Beer was amazing ... lots of things we cannot get in Canada. Pricing for souvenirs at the gift shop were very reasonable.

I recall that the actual tour only lasts about an hour. There is a beer tasting afterward and people seemed to linger there.
