Great Tour

Great tour. Our guide was enthusiastic and you could tell he cared about what he was doing. The building was gorgeous and the beer tasting was great. Parking was easy to find.

Just a few years ago this tour was free, which is a little how I would describe their pours of beer after the short brewery tour. Then it was $15 and now it's $25. The pours are super regimented (I was excited to try new stuff) and you have to get out after the allotted time. If you want to... More

We went with a group of friends on a Sunday Happy Hour tour-- our guide was very knowledgeable and the beer tasting after was awesome!! Great activity to do with friends. Note about weekend tours-- no bottling and canning operation happens on the weekends so we want to go back and see those machines running!

I had a great time on the Anchor Brewing Tour and learned a fair bit about the process. It was a nice bonus to learn such a detailed history of the company.

This is the second time my husband and I have taken the Anchor brewery tour (last time was only a year ago!) Both times we had excellent tour guides--very informative and entertaining. Of course the beer was great. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in beer, whether or not you know anything about the process!

The history of the company and it's relation to San Francisco at the beginning was very interesting and informative. The tour guide made it a bit funny and interjected his own experiences into the narrative. The tour itself was fairly quick but long enough to hit the highlights of the beer-making process. Most of the time you could hear the... More

We booked for the afternoon tour at 1 pm (do make a reservation - they sell out) and had a wonderful time. Our guide - Joey - had a great sense of humor, and, even better, a great speaking voice so everyone could hear what he had to say. We spent about 20 minutes hearing the history while in the... More

I love Anchor beers, and coming to their home for a tour as a wee detour on our honeymoon was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about beer and the history and operation of the brewery. The building is a great example of an Art Deco small industrial building of the 1920s or 30s with plenty of period features... More

A real highlight of our trip! The tour itself is about 25 minutes or so, very cool. Obviously, the highlight is the tasting portion. You get about five or six different Anchor brews, very generous. So much fun and a great addition to any San Fran itinerary.

Did the tour at Anchor Brewing Company. Guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Were not stingy with the beer tasting.
