A piece of history just left in that poor condition amongst garbage and debris. They don’t give Veterens discounts and this month they’re turning the ship into a Halloween horror show. Really, to disgrace a United States heavy cruiser by turning it into a side...More

Coming to Quincy for business or vacation, check out the USS Salem. An incredible sight to see; with its giant size and cool features. The volunteers that maintain this piece of history run tours regularly. If family friendly for the kids too!

This Ship appears to be about 2/3's of the size of a Missouri class battle ship and very cool. The GPS location is correct but still a little hard to locate but just follow the signs. While the new ramp leading to the gangway is...More

This is for people who like WW2 and Naval Ships from that period. A floating museum now but kept very well despite it's years. A wee tip it is huge so give yourself lots of time and bear in mind there are a lot of...More

How often do you have a chance to board a WWII era fighting ship. This ship has recently been re-opened along with a new walkway and parking spots. The volunteer staff has done an amazing job of restoring the ship.

This is the last example of a Des Moines-class heavy cruiser, so it was well worth the trip. The ship could use some maintenance, and was a little difficult to find, but will be no problem locating by using a GPS.

This amazing battle cruiser is docked alongside the former Quincy Shipyard just outside Boston. For military history buffs, this ship well worth spending an afternoon exploring the entire ship. Hubby & I didn't realize it takes time meandering through all the nooks and crannies within...More

Outside of the summer months it is probably only open during the weekends. It is also recommended that when you are in Boston you keep their phone number handy to confirm that they are open.
