Forget rock walls, they’re a piece of cake compared to the unexpected terrain of beach cliff mountain climbing! Waves, slick rocks, and crevasse climbing all attributed to the fun! Our guide and instructor, Zach, was great with his instruction, repelling and climbing skills. This was...More

4th July weekend -Fireworks or anything special??Lobsters?? (4 Replies)
We are visiting ACNP during 4th July weekend and have managed to get a camping spot at Hadley's Point campground :). Now next in our list is to book rock climbing which we have sent request to both companies to check for availability and prices. If we want to experience climbing on edge of cliff with sea as backdrop which company would you suggest for first time climbers? We are fit and healthy in late twenties but never done rock climbing before. Atlantic Climbing School and Acadia...More

I think either company would be fine for rock climbing. They will both take you to similar areas to climb and yes, they are all cliffs with amazing views. Not sure about any restaurants sitting on any of those spots, but you can find lobster at all the restaurants and a couple have really nice views - Stewman's, Fish House Grill, Galyn's, West Street Cafe - all in Bar Harbor or The Chart Room, a little drive but still in Bar Harbor.
