This was a real treat. We did not know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised , the views were spectacular, even on a cold , cloudy day. The walk was invigorating the amenities pleasant. We had fun!

This beautiful walk, flanked by rosa rugosa shrubs by the edge of the ocean, with startling views of the Porcupine Islands is sublime.

Very nice hike near the water and plenty of large boulders to scramble over and get nice pictures on. The park has several good hikes - you'll need a couple/few days to enjoy them.

I have enjoyed the shore path for years. Where else can you see bald eagles and seals while you are walking along the water? The shorepath has always been a tranquil and relaxing experience for me.

This was a very nice walk full of wonderful natural sites and the sound of the ocean. During low tide it's extra fun since there are lots of tide pools to look at (where we saw sea worms, sea urchin, shrimp, and shell fish). There...More

There is 2 hr free parallel parking all over downtown Bar Harbor. There is also several town parking lots all off Main St. or Mt Desert street, the trouble is that the town is usually packed from mid day to late afternoon... More

The shore path is free. It is not part of the national park system so it does not require a park pass. Just walk whenever you want.
