Woody was just a fantastic host for our tour of Acadia and Mount Desert Island. My mom, sister and I were so impressed with his knowledge of the area. He took us to some breathtaking locations. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch outside as well. At the end of the day, we thought of Woody as an old friend! Amazing experience that I highly recommend!

Woody was an exceptional guide. We were 3 couples from the Oceana Cruise ship and we hired him for a private tour. His fee was less than if we had elected to go on the cruise ships bus tour! He was punctual, knowledgeable and accommodating. We had a delightful tour with him and we would all highly recommend Woody!

Woody was waiting for us when we exited our ship. He was very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of Bar Harbor as well as entertaining. We were short of time since our ship docked later but Woody showed us the high stops with the time we had left, stopping at the best spots to take pictures. He also had water and snacks which was a nice touch. We would recommend Woody highly!

Woody is an amazing tour guide! He took us on a tour of the national park, Cadillac Mountain, and Bar Harbor. He provided historical background and explained all points of interest. I have been to Bar Harbor 2 times previously and had written the town off as crowded and touristy. Trying to navigate Acadia Park by ourselves was frustrating, no parking, too may people. Not so this last visit when we hired Woody of Bar Harbor Coastal Tours to take us on a private tour. Hands down it was a wonderful experience. We started the day by getting a popover at the “Stadium” in town. Woody showed us the Acadia that he obviously loves. He was full of information and very easy to work with on all levels. He would drop us at a site, we would take as long or short a time and he would be waiting for us when we were finished. This worked well with my not so mobile husband. Woody knows ALOT about the history of park, and the roads especially since detours pop up unexpectedly. We also visited Seal Harbor and the small Dorr museum of Natural History at the University in town. Woody’s van was clean and he was a safe driver. He had snacks and water if needed. The best day!

Our group of 4 visited Bar Harbor on a Princess Cruise in August 2024 and decided on a private tour of the Island, rather than spending 6 hours in a bus on a cruise line excursion. This was one of the best decisions we ever made!!! We arrived in Bar Harbor in a very heavy fog, and I woke up to a text from Woody saying, let's push back our scheduled meeting time to wait off the layer of fog. Gave us more time to get have a bite to eat on the ship, and not have to rush off to meet him. When we did get off, we met at the scheduled time and location, and off we went. Woody had a great tour lined up for us, all we had to do was sit back in his beautiful and comfortable van, listen to some great stories and history of the area, and look at the area. He brought us to every place you need to go, with such incredible views. It was so cool that we waited for the fog to burn off, as we go so many incredible photos on our tour of Acadia and Cadiallac Mountain. It was so cool hearing and learning about the history of the area. The time flew by, and before we knew it we were asking Woody for a place to be dropped off in town for lunch. Once again, he was spot on, and of course we had a great lunch with a few drinks before walking around and heading back to the ship. Overall this was the best private tour we have ever been on in any of our travels. If you are going to be in Bar Harbor you must get in touch with Woody to show you the area.

Woody went above and beyond giving us a tour of Acadia National Park. He was friendly, informative, knowledgeable and just a nice guy! Our 2 grandsons, 11 and 12, also really enjoyed it trip.
