About
Weekly farmers markets in Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor, ME. We have wonderful Maine vendors who are bakers, farmers, and craftspeople. At our market you can find vegetables, fruits, preserves of all kinds, bread and baked goods, seafood, meats, eggs, goat cheese, flowers, plants, fiber crafts, prepared foods and more. Even better, you know that all of these delicious items are grown locally and are as fresh as humanly possible! On Sundays we are in Bar Harbor in the YMCA parking lot from 9:00-12:00, and Thursdays we are in Northeast Harbor behind the Kimball Terrace Inn from 9:00-12:00.

Charming small Farmers Market in the YMCA parking lot right in town. Nice selection of fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, flowers, teas, etc. We LOVED the selection of maple syrups - bought a blueberry infused one and maple sugar butterfly candy for our granddaughters!

A nice small market with some really good local vendors. Blueberry scones were excellent, coffee was very good and maple vendor had interesting items.

A local BH resident turned us on to this Farmer's Market which is held on Sundays from 9am-12noon. It was nice enough, but the shining star was a local baker whose wares were going fast! I arrived at about 9:20 and there was a line about 10-deep at her table. She was already sold out of ginger cookies. Offerings included many types of breads, a variety of scones and cookies. All priced very reasonably. The giant cookies were $1 and the most delicious large scones were $2. Unfortunately I chose only 1 peanut butter cookie and 1 blueberry scone. If we weren't on our way back to home in NYS when I sampled the scone, I would have gone back from more! (I did some research and found that the vendor is Bread Box Bakery- I contacted them and they also have a small bakery in East Orland Maine; so if you're in the area and want great baked goods, I recommend you check it out!)

This Farmer's Market is held on Sunday mornings in a parking lot across from the athletic field. It is small but worth the trip. We always go the first Sunday of our annual visit to Bar Harbor. We always stop at the Smith Log Smokehouse booth. All of their items are smoked by hand in a wood fired smokehouse. They have all sorts of products including jerky, bacon, salami and sausages. We have loved everything we tried. There is a meat vendor at the market as well who has all kinds of wonderful fresh meats. The Smith Family Farm booth (different from the Smith Smokehouse) has delicious dairy products. There is also a bread vendor, several produce vendors and an Asian food booth which I have never tried because the line is so long! This visit we bought strawberries, smoked meats, cheeses and tomatoes (first time I have seen them this early in the season). So if you are renting a house I recommend you stop by the Farmer's market for a few items.

Wow! The market offers a wide variety of goods ranging from fruits and veggies to fresh baked breads, pies and other baked goods. They offer organic popcorn, cheeses and meats, jerkys, sausages and luscious maple syrup. Don't miss it.

I always visit the local farmers market when traveling. It is a great way to learn about the local culture and produce. The Mount Desert Farmers Market was small, but very interesting. We got some sweet corn, tomatoes, bread, yogurt, cheese, and much more. We then packed lunches for the week of hiking and made several dinners as well.

Small but enough of a selection to get fresh produce and local products. Vendors include produce (3), baked goods (1), eggs (2), maple syrup, seafood(1), cheese (2), coffee (1) plus specialty - pasta sauce, granola. We couldn't resist the pasta sauce (spicy vodka and a tomato/basil), eggs, granola and produce for our dinner tonight. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Sundays 9-noon.

We spend a lot of time at local farmers markets back home in Maryland, but this market takes the prize. The cheeses, produce, meats, coffee, mushrooms, flowers, and even seafood blew my mind. Make it the first thing you do Sunday morning and support some wonderful small business

This farmer's market is small but has lots of great local items. There are several cheese vendors as well as bakery items, meat, seafood, some produce and flowers. We always stop at the meat guy. His prices are high but worth it. We also go to a sausage booth which is fantastic. I am not a cheese fan but the other members of my family go crazy for all the cheese vendors who have locally made cheeses.
