We took a boat tour by here 4 years ago and were amazed at how many seals and how close we could get the boat to take pictures. BUT this year we went by again and did not see one single seal but we did...More

This light house, visible from both the loop road in Acadia park, and from whale watch vessels, is what one expects from New England light houses. We were not able to get to the island, but is a beautiful sight.

Really neat little island and quaint lighthouse which is automatic now. There is no access to the island so you have to view it from the water - I highly recommend a cruise! We saw bald eagles and harbor seals at the island.

Saw so many seals lounging and swimming! Big seals and their pups. Passed by on our fishing boat. It was great

Although you can see it from the road, it is misleading to bill it as "Park Loop Road." It is fairly far out at the mouth of the bay, and is accessible only by boat.

Went to the rock on the Lobster and Seal tour. Certainly did see a lot of seals, and got some good information on them from our naturalist. The island itself is protected. No visitors can go on it.

Was a very foggy day but could see part of the light (automated). It's now a bird sanctuary, also. Nice to add to one's collection of lighthouses.

Didn't visit the lighthouse, but loved seeing it from the water! Worth visiting on the Lighthouse Boat Tour!

The Egg Rock lighthouse is a stop on many of the Harbor Tours. While it is neat spot to observe, you unfortunately cannot land on the island or go into the lighthouse itself. It is completely automated now and the small island is a sanctuary...More
