Do this! With a little luck you will see large mammals in the water but most of all you will experience the feeling that the rich and famous had when they were building there houses here. Because the sailing around the islands was and still is their prime reason to have a house here. Sure, some have obnoxious motorboats that roar past. But those are the ones that clearly have not understood the essence of the place: the sound of waves to your boat and the wind in the sails.

Our family booked a three hour private sail. The ship was on time, and was just lovely. In great shape and pretty as a picture. The bay was beautiful, and we saw porpoises and seals. The crew of two was easy to talk to, and answered all of our questions. The only downsides were that the website says that snacks are provided (I think it says fruit and cheese) which was not the case. Also, they asked if we'd like to participate in the process and learn, and we said yes. Website also says you can do this. They involved my husband in son for about four minutes, and then not again for the rest of the three hours. Those were really the only down sides. Definitely a great activity for us as we've never sailed before, but maybe thought we'd get a little more for $400+

Our sail was set for today at 10am. They told us to arrive half an hour prior to that, which we did. They also told us to look for a lady wearing a "red" shirt holding a clipboard. We spent that half an hour looking for that person and calling their office confirming all the details of where to meet and if the lady was indeed wearing red. 10am strikes and our boat leaves without us. A lady appears wearing a "blue" shirt holding a clipboard apologizing saying we missed our boat and that there are only sails 4 hours later. Never have I experienced any business with such poor communication. Good luck to anyone with reservations with the company. I hope your experience is better than mines!

Captain Jesse and his first mate, Ryan, were awesome. Very casual and organic trip. Captain Jesse was informative but not over bearing with local info. There was a family of four on board with us but there was still a lot of room to sprawl out and relax on the boat. Will go again when back in the area.

We booked a sunset sail through the web site, confirmed time, date and meeting location by phone. Waited on the dock for an hour at the pre arranged time, Jessie was a no show.
