To be on the calm, clear water of Bar Harbor was a wonderful way to see and learn about this beautiful part of our country. The kayaking was not strenuous, with boats very maneuverable. The guide was chatty with lots of local knowledge and stories. It made a cool, overcast day in July really nice.

My wife and I had a great experience with Acadia Park Kayak and our guide, Rob. We met in the parking lot outside their office behind the Dog and Pony on Roddick Place. We were equipped with life vests, spray skirts, and dry bags then shuttled by van to Seal Cove. It was windy, cool (56 degrees), and cloud/misty but... More

Kayaking around the Bar Harbor islands was easily the best part of my weekend in Maine. After researching most of the kayak tours on the island, my friend and I settled on this one due to the great price ($45 a person for 3 hours) and the length, because many other providers have 4 hours tours as their minimum. We... More

We signed up for the special 4th of July tour where we would be able to see the fireworks but we got a lot more. We got a sunset tour with fireworks and a night tour all rolled into one! We were instructed to be at the store by 6pm and we did a little intro and getting to know... More

We just went July 5th, and it was everything I hoped for. It ended up being just our family, the five of us, on a sunset trip. Our guide, Rob, was professional, and made us feel comfortable, since only one of us had much experience. My 17 year old daughter took the single kayak, while the rest of us rode... More

Sea kayaking in Bar Harbor was a highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, our guide was disorganized and wasted our time by having us first meet at his office, just to drive us a few blocks away to wait on the ramp. The van has no parking spot here, so the guide will have to drive his van back, and return... More

We are glad that your tour with us was the highlight of your vacation even if you only gave two stars. As to your concerns... 1. Why don't we have all of our trips meet at the beach or have people just walk to the beach?: All of the local kayaking companies have their clients meet at their location or... More

This was our first sea kayaking experience and our guide, Brescian, was excellent! When I was feeling a little unsure of myself, he was so very helpful, kind, and reassuring. He was thorough in teaching basic kayaking technique and safety and is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, ecology, and history of the area. Our tour was definitely a highlight of... More

We did the night kayak trip with Breshin. It was incredible. We ended up having just a 4 person tour as the others that were scheduled cancelled last minute. He met us at the sandbar just outside of Bar Harbor and we launched just as the moon was rising over the harbor. Breshin was very informative but also allowed just... More

I've been to Maine countless times over the past 24 years, but my first visit to Acadia. When we planned our October trip, kayaking was definitely on the list. I did not make advanced reservations. I called the day prior to our planned kayaking trip and had no difficulty. I would recommend reserving if you have a specific day that... More

We took a guided night kayak tour, and it the most memorable park of our trip to Acadia. First, the tour was unique. Because of the low light pollution in Bar Harbor, we could see bioluminescence with every paddle stroke. This is a breathtaking sight that must be seen in person. We were also guided under and through a catamaran... More
