My wife booked a trip on the Margaret Todd as a belated Father's Day gift. We thoroughly enjoyed riding on this old treasure and made us feel like we had been taken back in time.

We scheduled this schooner trip via online searching. The real life version was every bit as good as online reviews. Crew staff were captain, and 2 mates...both women. This was a nice surprise and interesting to hear their stories of how these jobs came together,...More

Thank you for the AMAZING review!

The Windjammer was clean and well kept. The crew was efficient and willing to answer questions. My point of contention was that the boat went around and around in the harbor. Not much of a trip.

This was an interesting experience, but the end of September is not the best time to enjoy it. It was relatively warm on land, but out in the middle of the bay it was cold and windy. Fortunately we had our coats. When we made...More

My wife and I went on the last sunset cruise of the year. Nice schooner and we even had musical entertainment! A nice outing and a way to break up the downtown shopping and exploration of Acadia.

I went on this beautiful boat with my girlfriend. We both enjoyed the fact it was BYOB, and the live music on board was a nice touch. Unfortunately our trip wasn't powered by wind but with a smelly diesel engine. The captain said he was...More

We read that this was a great wAy to see the islands. We tried to get tickets for the 1 pm tour, but it was cancelled due to wind so the 4:45 was the only choice left. No one told us that cruise was mostly...More

We are sorry you did not receive the trip you anticipated, however, the weather is tricky in October and we are one of the few business that are open in October not to mention that the sunsets very early because of this, the trip is...More

This was 2 hours of our life we'll never get back. We had taken a schooner ride a day earlier in Portland and enjoyed it so much more. The crew of the Mary Todd was surly and didn't offer any insights into the history of...More

We are sorry that you did not receive the cruise you had anticipated. The "Margaret Todd" offers three types of cruises in Frenchman Bay. The 10 am with no commentary and you are encouraged to ask the crew questions, the 2 pm with a National...More

It was very heartening that the crew put up the sails, so often on similar cruises they just motor but had a lovely cruise under sail out and back in the harbour. I even got to help raise one! Being October it was cold, fortunately...More

NO. This is just a cruise around Bar Harbor and Frenchman's Bay. I don't know if there is a ferry to Nova Scotia.
