The Windjammer was clean and well kept. The crew was efficient and willing to answer questions. My point of contention was that the boat went around and around in the harbor. Not much of a trip.

This was an interesting experience, but the end of September is not the best time to enjoy it. It was relatively warm on land, but out in the middle of the bay it was cold and windy. Fortunately we had our coats. When we made...More

My wife and I went on the last sunset cruise of the year. Nice schooner and we even had musical entertainment! A nice outing and a way to break up the downtown shopping and exploration of Acadia.

I went on this beautiful boat with my girlfriend. We both enjoyed the fact it was BYOB, and the live music on board was a nice touch. Unfortunately our trip wasn't powered by wind but with a smelly diesel engine. The captain said he was...More

It was very heartening that the crew put up the sails, so often on similar cruises they just motor but had a lovely cruise under sail out and back in the harbour. I even got to help raise one! Being October it was cold, fortunately...More

Great opportunity for pictures. The crew was fun and the ride was nice. It was cold but they had blankets. the evening cruise would have been spectacular but was cancelled due to winds. Hard to justify drinking wine at 10am!!

Went out on the sunset cruise. The crew were friendly and the live music was great! Since it was October and a bit chilly, they provided some blankets, which was nice. The views were beautiful!

Pleasant cruise. Volunteers got to help hoist the sails. That was cool. Park Ranger gave an excellent narration of local history and all of the geographic points along the cruise. Nice time. But be aware, there is no below decks sheltered from the wind, there...More

Our Downeast Windjammer schooner cruise was wonderful! It was a chilly day in mid October, but the sun kept us warm part of the time. When the clouds covered the sun, crew brought out blankets to keep us protected from the cold. An NPS ranger...More

NO. This is just a cruise around Bar Harbor and Frenchman's Bay. I don't know if there is a ferry to Nova Scotia.
