Driving into the Bar Harbor area, stop here, but make sure you're there before 4:30pm...they close right on the dot. You can buy your car pass, good for 7 days for $25. You will need this to drive into the park and to park anywhere. Many were turned away right at 4:30pm so again make sure you are early. We... More

This is a great place to go to find out where you should be going. The rangers are super helpful. You can learn about different programs going on in the park, as well as get the history of the park. On a hot day, it is nice to cool down and watch the movie they have on the history of... More

It's a small center and a bit of a hike up some stairs...but, the Rangers are there to help with what you can enjoy while in the park, suggested hiking trails, etc... The introductory movie is a must see!

The first stop for Acadia park is the Hulls Cove Visitor Center. It is small but clean. The staff if very friendly and helpful.

This visitor center was extremely busy while we were there. The staff were very helpful and gave us several good tips. They went out of their way to find a special map and photocopy it for us. A great place to start your trip in Acadia.

Good stop for maps and info. Very helpful staff and plenty of people working there to provide info. Steps up to center can be avoided if necessary. Go to the back entrance if you have difficulty climbing steps. Lady at the desk provided list of all the best stops for passport stamps! This was very helpful.

This has to be the first stop to the park and not to just buy the park pass but to talk to the ranger before you head off on any of the hiking trails. I was glad I stood in the line to chat with the ranger. She was honest as she should be to ensure that I would have... More

A nice stop if you're headed into the park. A short video plays on the half hour but don't waste your time (it's awful and I usually enjoy the park films). Informative rangers and a small store with park centered gifts. I appreciate visitor's centers and liked this one :) You can also park here and take the Island Explorer... More

It is worth stopping here as you enter Acadia, but don't expect anything extraordinary. There are the usual helpful and friendly rangers present to give suggestions and answer questions. There's a short introductory film that is nice enough to be worth watching. There's a gift shop (a bit pricey) and entrance passes for sale, plus free park maps and that... More

50+ steps from parking lot to Center. Clean rest rooms, guide books and trail maps are available as well as help to aid you in planning your visit to the park.
