I have to say our tour guide was the best we have ever had on any tour. He is a 35 year resident of the island and was extremely well versed on local history, geology and local attractions. There was not a question asked that he could not answer and was extremely friendly. A great tour.

The driver was very informative. He answered all questions and we really enjoyed all of the information on Bar Harbor and how Acadia came to be. Would definitely do this tour again!

We had driver Jim as our guide. He had a great sense of humor but on the microphone, it sounded as if he was mumbling and much of his narration was difficult to understand. Also, half way into the trip, a high pitch beeping sound was coming from the speaker. Jim never once even acknowledged it! Strange. This 2.5 hour tour should be at least 3 hours long as we did not have enough time at Jordan’s Pond.

Jim our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the entire experience pleasant for my sisters and I along with my 81 yr. old mother.
I highly recommend the 2.5 hr tour as the 15 min. stops at several locations felt mor than adequate. Definitely worth the money.

Gloria was our tour guide!
Very informative and great personality.
We learned a lot more than just driving around by ourselves.

Worst tour we have ever taken. We have been to 47 states and taken tours in many large cities. They have all been great. This trolly tour, Gloria talked about rich people and flowers she couldn’t remember the names of. She spent most of the tour ringing on the bell to get people she was name dropping to come out and wave ( none did). It was an agonizing 40 minutes. First tour I did not tip on.

How many total does the trolly hold? to you have to put 2 people in each seat?

I would agree with the other answers, probably ten seats on each side, two per seat, so forty total. Could be even twelve to a side. I doubt it’s an option to sit alone unless the trolley’s not sold out. It’s a very busy place though!
Which is the best side to sit on the trolley for this tour?

we were one of the first to board, I asked the driver. He said a few rows back behind him, we were happy there.

Do the windows open on the trolley? What are the covid 19 safety measures? Thank you!

Yes the windows open. If vaccinated you didn’t have to wear a mask. I prefer a breeze so I had my window open the entire time.

Would this be good for child age 7?
Would you recommend the one hour tour to Cadillac Mountain only or the 2.5 hour tour?
Is the meeting location near the Harborside hotel?

Would be great for a 7 year old. The longer tour is better as there is lots to see. Leaves from the harbour area

Things starting slowing down in October, good time to go though honestly. November for sure things are winding down.
I booked it for 10.30. May i take an earlier tour instead?

I could not find anywhere about cancellation policy if you book ahead of time. We are planning of being there on a Saturday morning and know it will probably be booked up is we wait but have an ill family member and wont be sure until two days before if we can go for sure. Is there a cancellation policy? If so, what is it? Thanks

We are coming to Bar Harbor in October on the Anthem of the seas. We'll tender from the ship, and then plan on linking up with something fun. The 2.5 hour trolly tour sounds great. How did you link up with this tour? Is there a way to do this once you arrive? Would this be the best way of experiencing Bar Harbor in your opinion? Did you find any good Lobster -- any suggestion?
Thanks for taking the time to help us plan our day at Bar Harbor!

We are located directly on the tender pier for check in and the trolley departs just one block away. There are lots of great places for lobster stop in or call us and we will be happy to make some suggestions
