This is a free mini adventure... hike, cave, cliff and more. Although the GPS might take you to the entrance, it is a bit hard to identify/locate since the sign is a bit hidden. You will have to park on the shoulder of GU-15. The total hike is approximate one (1) mile it is slightly marked by prior visitors. I will rate the hike medium to slightly hard. The hike start easily with a normal trail. Be advise, we saw a monitor lizard and few spiders. Then the hike begins to get a bit rocky while a slight climb down. This portion will lead you to the cave. The cave is very dark. Make sure you are dressed properly and have a VERY good flashlight(s). If the humidity is high, the floor will be very slippery. I recommend continuing the hike which continues to be rocky but it changes to beach like flora and volcanic rocks. Eventually you will reach the astonishing cliff. The view is breathtaking. The experience is worth the time. Make sure you bring water (lots of water).

Without a doubt the best place to hike. You get a taste of everything on this hike, you get the Chamorro culture, a great view of the ocean, and a great view of the cave. If you decide to jump into the ocean, make sure you're a strong swimmer, the water can be rough and unforgiving. I wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't strong swimmers.

The hike is not for the faint of heart. It is very steep and rugged! You must have on good shoes. Make sure to bring water shoes, a flashlight and a swimsuit for when you get to the cave. Make sure you finish the hike to the cliffs too it is gorgeous. Bring something to sit on as it is all volcanic rock and very sharp and have a snack watching the waves crash against the cliffs. It cost us about $50 each way for the cab from the hotel district. You will have to prearrange a cab or call one when you come back out as there is no way to hail one once you are there. The sign is currently covered by foliage so it is hard to see if you are driving yourself. Hopefully, there will be cars parked there so you can find it.

The along the road shows signs that cars have been broken into (broken glass), so leave your valuables at home or take them with you for the hike. The first half is a small easy trail through the jungle. Then it becomes more difficult as you go downhill. The rocks are pretty slick, and they get pretty sharp. Falls could be painful. There are some spots that you need to use the ropes that are tied off for you. The caves are beautiful. Bring some powerful lights. You will need to walking in knee deep water to explore the caves, so bring the appropriate footwear. In the larger part, the water is over 2 meters, so bring swimsuits if you like to explore further. The cliffs are a short walk past the caves.

The hold to pagat cave isn't too difficult at all. The hike back might be a little tiresome if you're easily winded. However, the trail takes you into the jungle, but don't worry, the trail is fairly easy to follow. The cave is beautiful. It's like nothing else exists when you're inside. I highly recommend hiking here.

On a side note, please keep the trail and cave clean and simply pick up after yourself!

Ok first off it is a hike and it's not easy. Wear good shoes and be ready to hike down and have some super uneven footing. My wife and wore our strap on sandals but they are really good ones we hike in often.

There is so much to see! We hiked all the way down to the coast which was beautiful and fun. And then the two different caves offered a really cool scene. One cave was small but fun to check out. The other one has a super amazing underground and secluded pool for you to swim in!! Very amazing and the temperature of the water cooled us off after the hike down in the Guam heat.

Definitely do this!!

This hike was challenging but, oh so rewarding. The most Beautiful view I've seen. Bring water, wet shoes and flashlights for the cave. If I our hike further up from the cave you will see the overlook. Natives go cliff diving here from the lowest point but not during high tide.

Trailhead is fairly easy to find along the "back road", arterial road taking you along Guam's eastern side. Hike itself is moderately difficult. Bring a flashlight and wear swimsuit if you plan on exploring cave.

If you’ve got limited time, then this is a must -do!! Not a far hike but can feel like it because it can be hot and humid, and ends walking up hill! Downhill hike at start easy, to cave opening. Bring a waterproof flashlight and camera as you do a short dark walk through semi tight opening to an underground pond with clean cool fresh water. Refreshing after that warm hike. Then hike up other side from cave opening to short paths to the rocky shore, which is beautiful! Heard some will cliff jump here but we did not. BTW no easy place to climb out after you jump...I’d reserve this only for the most adventurous who are STRONG swimmers. Wear good hiking shoes to cave, and to shore, but bring to wear water shoes for in cave and pond.

We were expecting much a more challenging from the reviews. It wasn’t bad at all. But flip flops not recommended because of the sharp rocks all along the path. You MUST have a flashlight to really enjoy the cave. Ideally each person should have their own, and it should be waterproof. We used our iPhone flashlights but only because there was a large group inside the cave lighting it up. Otherwise we couldn’t have gone in. We wish wish wish we had our own torches so that we could have snorkeled around and looked at all the stuff underwater. After the cave, it’s worth walking a bit further along the path and checking out the grinding stones and latte stones, as well as the beautiful view and rock formations!
