I was lucky that I was in Oahu over a weekend while this beach was open. I found a rotisserie chicken van at the entrance and picked up some lunch on my way in. The beach is magical and mostly deserted. It's comfortable to swim without a noticeable rip which made it enjoyable. There is beautiful white sand which is... More

The beach is only 30 min away from Honolulu. Along the way, you'll find this cool small town where we stop to buy shave ice called Dave's Hawaiian Ice cream. You need to have an military ID to enter (Air force Military ID). They provided a very cool cabin right next to the ocean with minimum of 2 days stay.... More

this place is empty in comparison to other places and clean and well kept. It is a dream of a site that makes one feel transported to Tahiti or Samoa...without the plane trip!

This beach is the nirvana I didn't know existed on Oahu. Clear turquoise water and sand with no rocks, shells, or algae and warm temperatures in a pristine environment. The waves were choppy and formidable though so strong swimmers only should swim beyond the wading area. We found a spot in a residential neighborhood where we were the only 2... More

This place is super chill and always has been. Bummer that the ranger cabin burned down recently. Anyway, if you want to go,to a place that is calm go here. A long beach with almost nobody there

Best Beach On The Island is what I was told. We did not go to other beaches to compare but this beach is awesome. Large soft sand beach with beautiful blue water. The surf can get rough. It was crowded but it was a Friday afternoon. My only complaint is the changing area in the mens bathroom is one big... More

We stopped today on a whim with our kids. It was a beautiful beach. The sand was soft. There were very few people around..the kids loved jumping in the waves. It was a great way to get out of Waikiki for a day.

This is the best place I went to in Hawaii, over here you can body board, you can do it with big waves, not so big that they are surfing waves, not to small that they are swimming waves.

Bellows AFB Beach is breathtaking. We went there because there are decent waves for boogie boarding. The stretch of beach is for military families only, so it is not crowded at all. Changing room/bathrooms were typical for beach parks. It was windy and misted rain a bit, so my sunbathing daughters didn't like that, but my husband and 13 year... More
