I went there in summer, so not much of the famous big waves, but was able to find parking!!!!!! The views are breathtaking especially if you drive up to the view point.

This is probably my favorite beach on the whole island. The waves are small enough that a "haole" like me can handle them and not get too beat up but big enough that it's fun.

This was one of my favorite beach in Hawaii (we visited Oahu & Maui), beautiful water, great scenery, very quiet and uncrowded!! A must see!

Cant recall seeing any BBQ's but there is a toilet block and camp area, so its possible.
