Ive been to a fair few nice beaches but this one is simply stunning! Maybe we got lucky that the water was particularly calm that day. The colours, the peace and quiet, its quiet magnificence - it's something to experience! Highly recommend. In my books its got one up on Meelup beach in Australia's south west

Grab a rental car if you can, and come here for a swim, the water is warm and the sandy sea bottom is blemish-free.

Quiet. Blue water. Nice clear sandy beach. Easy parking. Free. What's not to like. Perfect. Will be back

Waimanalo Beach is gorgeous. Islands and mountains in the distance. Turquoise water with pretty surfs. Friendly locals and tourists. All the makings of a great post card. But there were many trash and plastic bits and broken glasses on the beach and in the water to make one realize that we are definitely not alone on Earth. Places this beautiful... More

Beautiful beach - about 3 miles long with soft sand and the most amazing blue colour of water. It was not busy when we went. Just a couple having wedding photos and people mainly tourists scattered along the length of the beach. It was very nice to just sit and watch the waves and be at one with nature. Would... More

We absolutely love the area, met some other folks from Vancouver Island and this was their 3rd time there. If you are looking for a tourist area with shops and coffee shops, this is not the place to go then go to Kailua just down the road. The beach is fantastic, clean and quiet. Yes there are a few homeless... More

We ended up here on labor day because there was no available parking on koolina beach, it was so crowded. It is a nice beach but it was too windy, maybe we'll come back on a nice day.

I headed out of Honolulu in my rental car for the morning looking for some uncrowded beaches. I had heard good things about Waimanalo and while they were true...it was a big long beautiful sandy beach surrounded by gorgeous blue water, unfortunately it was covered that morning with homeless shelters, so I just kept moving.

This beach was quiet, clean and we really enjoyed it. When we were there there were maybe 3 other people on the beach. If you are wanting a beach away from the hustle & bustle of Waikiki this is your beach. It is a great place to relax.

This beach is About 30 minutes away from Waikiki and definitely worth it. Get away from the Waikiki crowds. Quiet, beautiful scenery and wonderful water. There are a few restaurants within a 10 minute walk as well.
