I thought this was the most beautiful beach we visited in Oahu. I would rank this one higher than Kailua at least in terms of scenery. I know these places are not such secrets any more, but they're not ruined - at least not yet....More

Incredibly beautiful beach, with soft sand, great waves and beautiful clear blue water. Plenty of room, very uncrowned even on State holiday.

Hawaii deserves its grand reputation. Amazed at how warm the water was compared to our Northern California beaches. This beach was not crowded in June and we found an Air B&B only two blocks away. Our college graduate granddaughter learned not quite quickly enough about...More

Used to be our favorite beach but with the tent city there now, the bathrooms tend to be even worse and the beach doesn't feel as safe. It's still beautiful however!

Calm beach. Safe to swim. My husband snorkeled there but didn’t see much fish. There are public change/washrooms, and shower heads for a quick rinse. Would definitely want to go again and cruise for hours. ;)

Beautiful beach but two people were stung by blue jellyfish while we were there. We found out later they were Portuguese man of war; really painful. Watch carefully if you have kids, the jellies are small and can be hard to spot until they’re right...More

This is a nice beach but watch your valuables. There is a lot of people living on the edge of the beach and it is a poor area. Nothing happened but just be careful as you would anywhere else.

Went later in the day and the beach was quiet and rather empty. Bathrooms nearby. The waves were small enough for elementary school kids to swim in. The views were stunning. Ample parking.

In addition to the road parking in the neighborhood, there is a beach parking lot with dozens of spaces. You enter off the main road near the air force base.
