This course has some of the best views I have ever experienced in golf. The fairways are very open and fair, lots of slope though. Watch out on the greens, lots of slope that is hard to read. 3 puts are not uncommon. Cart paths need work but the rest of the course makes up for it.

The volcanic mountains surrounding the course was unusual and beautiful. The course was just average and the greens conditions were nothing special. This is the dry side of the island so I wasn't expecting much greenery. Hawaii had a lot of rain this year so it was more green than usual.

Makaha Valley is literally located in a valley and scenically very nice and unique. Unfortunately they seem to be struggling financially. The conditions were poor with weeds growing everywhere and portions of greens burned out despite abundant rain. The price was reasonable, the staff was very nice and it was not crowded. Think of this as a low end muni... More

Great staff, excellent service, cart paths need work, but the course is just perfect. The views are something you will never forget...

This course was nice to play, well kept, not many difficult holes. If you want to just relax and play, this would be the place. With transportation from Waikiki, two people can ride and play for $80-$90 each. It is near an hour from Waikiki, so using the transportation is good deal. There are no beverage carts on the course... More

This golf course is just minutes from my house, I don't even have to leave my neighborhood. The course is a little challenging and the views are fantastic!

Nice course, fun to play, close to home for me, "mountains affect the roll of the ball when putting", or so it appears. Rough cart paths, drive slow. You will enjoy the views!!

Played this course back in early July this year. It's a very nice peaceful course. A little further away to get to... but because of that, it's not as packed as other courses. Great views and very pleasant staff. Don't hesitate to play this.

Played with my 2 sons. Got a deal on Golfnow for $50 each. Nice rental clubs. Course was in good condition. Not much in the way of service. Need to have more water stations on the course. Very hot and humid. Golf cart died on 13. Good but not great. Awesome views. Had fun.
