Me and my wife have came to this beach about 3 times and each time has been great! The water is calm and sand is soft. Parking can sometimes get tricky but everyone is pretty relaxed here and we even saw a seal out first time here. Fun to swim in!

I found the western or leeward side of Oahu to be much less attractive than the windward side. These beaches are mostly frequented by locals. Of the beaches I stopped at when driving this coast, Nanakuli Beach Park was probably the nicest. It looked like a popular spot for surfing as many locals were out there with the surf up that day.

Breathtaking beaches! It was a nice walk. Bring extra water,, it get hot. I will say the homeless people in tents made us a little uneasy.

This is a local favorite. Smelly restrooms are the norm on this side of the island, but the swimming here is very safe and fun. I saw a few turtles not far from the shore. People climb down into a cave and take their phones for photos down there. Brave folks will jump into the surf from one particular hole, but I'd be careful with that and ask a local for tips. Even the guys I saw diving had scrapes and bandaged legs!

An excellent beach where people from all over the world come to enjoy the cool ocean water. The water is nice and cool at this beach and this beach has a lot of nice warm fine sand.

Rocky but nice area if you want to just look at the waves, too rough for us to swim here though so we went farther down the coast.
