So, this place is a tourist trap. Over priced and tacky things to see, buy and do. In my opinion, don't make a trip especially to visit this place, it really is a place to stop if... read more

We stopped here on our all day tour of the island and were just in time for fresh pineapple slicing!! Delicious!! They also have a lovely gift shop with tons of local made items! Very nice!

So, this place is a tourist trap. Over priced and tacky things to see, buy and do. In my opinion, don't make a trip especially to visit this place, it really is a place to stop if you've travelling to and from the North Shore via Hwy 99. However! Stop here for the famous Dole Whip. If you happen to... More

We had been driving around the island most of the day and needed a place to stop. Quite frankly, the best part of this visit to Dole was the pineapple whip ice cream. The Pineapple Express is pretty hokey but we were warned in advance that the pineapples had already been harvested. Seeing the harvesting or even the growing might... More

The ice cream was amazing! The rest was just ok. I was really expecting to see more. Took a nice little stroll through their garden and took some pics. But overall the ice cream was the highlight of that visit.

Hawaii no longer mass produce pineapples (are anything for that matter), this place is just for you to come purchase store brought products (there is a tour but not really anything to see). They will hype up the Dole ice cream, but it's plain pineapple ice cream you can get anywhere. Like so many of the other tours they bring... More

Whereas pineapple growing was a major business now most of the harvest is consumed on the island. You see none of the processing etc it's just an easy stop off to try and sell you stuff and has no educational value or has much to offer

This was a very interesting tour on a Grey Line bus. Even though 46 people were on the tour it was informative and the guide/driver had a passion for his island and was able to in still it in us.

If you are a tourist and have absolutely nothing to do, you can go here and learn a bit about Pineapples. But get ready to reach deep into your pocket if you want to buy anything from the store. Almost 10 bucks for a small bag of chips? A real tourist trap!
