We had a lovely time at the dole planation. My daughter loved the train ride. All of the activities cost money and are a bit pricey, so prepare your self to pay a bit. The pineapple is lovely of course and you can buy lots of different stuff at the shop. However it is a bit over commercialized and they... More

We got here about 445 and they close at 530. We did the train ride around the plantation and saw the various crops. The shop was CHAOS! there were so many people in there, we could hardly do what we wanted. But, we got our pineapples ordered to be shipped to us stateside.

When in Oahu Hawaii, you have to visit the "pineapple capital of the world." and try some pineapple desserts. They are so so yummy.

I loved this...years ago, we got a shirt from garage sale with Dole Plantation Oahu on it so I wanted to go here someday and wear my shirt...and I did. We went August 24 and it was pretty hot. We loved the maze but even with sunscreen we got sunburnt. The train was even better. We didn't do the garden... More

Our kids were excited to see where pineapples grew so we spent a couple hours here riding the train, shopping, and of course, eating Dole Whip! Overall, we are glad we stopped during our first time in Oahu but I don't think we would go back on subsequent trips.

One for the pineapple lovers! No matter where you're from, you've probably heard of Dole pineapples, although most of the exported pineapples come from the Philippines. There's plenty to do for those with kids, the activities which cost a little extra. Alternatively you can enjoy wandering the grounds and getting yourself a serve of the famous Dole Whip. Get a... The Dole Plantation is about a 45 minute drive from Waikiki. It's a great little day trip. We took a ride on the train that goes through the grounds. It's a 20 minute ride with a narrated recording overhead. We watched a pineapple slicing presentation and walked around the gardens as well. Overall, it was a cute place with a... More

We visited this as part of our full day trip of the Island. It was a good choice. The place was very pleasant, teeming with people. We had the most unusual and nice ice cream - served in a pineapple shaped container - and a massive one. Will remember that

We stopped in here while exploring Oahu. We didn't stay long but explored store a bit. They have a lot of cute items and lots of food type gifts. It was slightly crowded and they line for the Dole whips was crazy. There are good things for kids like the maze. I don't know how you could spend half a... More
