We loved hearing about all of the symbolic details that are intertwined on the temple grounds and in the visitors center. Everything from generations of families represented in the water features to the stars behind the Christus statue being placed in the exact placement that they were in on Christ’s birth. The sister missionaries are so very friendly and kind and it was a joy to spend time with them.

We had a group of around 15 ladies who joined the tour. It was amazing! The sights, sounds and spirit of the Laie Hawaii Temple and the surrounding gardens were incredible. Loved it so much! I encourage you to join the sister missionaries for an unforgettable tour and come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ as you do so. Enjoy!

I loved learning about the history of the Laie Temple and how those who built it showed their faith in Christ throughout the process. I felt like my faith in Christ was strengthened as was my respect for the people of Hawaii. My favorite part was learning about the friezes on the Temple. Aloha everyone and I highly recommend this tour!!!

My favorite part of the experience was listening to the sister missionaries share their knowledge of the temple, Book of Mormon, and their testimonies of Jesus Christ with me and my family. I loved that they have virtual tours because I don’t know if I will ever get to travel in person to Hawaii. The messages they shared with my family and me gave us hope during this uncertain time of Covid-19. I also enjoyed that they walked us around temple grounds showing us particular plants native to the island and telling us about the history of the building of the temple. ♥️ Great job Sister Kibler and Sister Gearheart! I highly recommend taking this virtual tour!

This was an awesome experience! The sisters we zoomed with were super knowledgeable and fun. My favorite part of the tour was enjoying the beauty surrounding the temple. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is curious about temples and what church members do inside.

Laie, Hawaii Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints grounds are open to the public but the temple itself is only for church members. It is sometime referred to as the “Taj Mahal of the Pacific” as well as the first temple build outside the continental United States. The beautiful flowers and reflection pool are stunning. The temple itself is made of a white sandstone. There is a visitor center staffed with missionaries willing to share what is Mormonism and what it offers. Take the time to walk the grounds and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the place. A large public parking lot is accessible as well as restrooms.

We loved our virtual tour and learned so much about the Temple, the grounds, and the history. We also enjoyed the model of the Temple including the architecture of this beautiful edifice. Sister Brown and Sister Morris were excellent tour guides and we loved their testimonies of the Gospel.

The two sister missionaries who conducted our tour were fantastic - great stories, knowledgeable about the temple and its history (including local flora!), and friendly. The grounds are beautiful, and the building inspiring. What a tremendous experience.

I learned so much about the early culture of the temple. I enjoyed learning the details that I had never seen up close. The sisters made me feel like I was right there. The tour was only 30 minutes so it didn’t take up a lot of time but was very fun and informative!

We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and we loved seeing this beautiful temple! My only wish was that we could have done some temple work while we were there but it was not open to do so. I think the time will come when it opens for temple work again. Hawaii is doing a great job managing Covid so hopefully that time will come soon!
The grounds are beautiful and nice to see. We went behind the temple and climbed the hill to an overlook. It was wonderful to look out over Laie and see the ocean from there.
Whether you are a member or not, visit with the sister missionaries. They are darling and knowledgeable and you will feel of their spirit as they share a message with you.
