Chief's Luau is the one to pick!
Chief's Luau on Oahu is fabulous. There was a live band, amazing hula dancers, and performers with fire sticks. Their performances were perfection. The buffet meal was delicious. We received beautiful flower leis, 3 drink tickets, complimentary t-shirts and premium seating which cost a bit extra but definitely worth the price. There are many luaus to choose from on Oahu but this is the one to visit. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Chief's Luau for an unforgettable experience !

    A MUST SEE!!! So entertaining!!
My daughter and I attended Chief’s Luau tonight and it was amazing!! Chief is so funny and entertaining. This staff was so talented and a joy to watch. We laughed the whole time and would definitely visit again. This was our curate time in Hawaii, so it was great to see more of the culture. DEFINITELY spend the money for the Royal Package.

    Great Luau experience!
Really appreciated the authenticity of this Luau! The Chief told his story, about his life, about the ways of his people, and even took the time to emphasize how we are all the same people, love and unity for us all. Highly recommend this Luau, my favorite thing I done in Hawaii!

    Treated like royalty!
How can you go to Hawaii and not do a Luau? After careful consideration, we chose the "Chiefs Luau" and we were not disappointed. The food, the show and the complete evening was absolutely wonderful! I could not imagine the show being much better. The only drawback was the chairs were not very comfortable although I don't know what they could have done to provide better seats unless they used bench seating.

We were last in Hawaii over 15 years ago, on big island, and attended a luau where they actually pulled the pig out of the ground and had a big dinner and dance for probably 75-100 people. So those were our thoughts going into this one. This is not a traditional luau; it is a huge gathering/show/buffet for hundreds of people bused in. It is a tourist attraction. Not to say it wasn't good; we enjoyed ourselves, but it simply wasn't what we were expecting for a luau. The food was spread out on big tables where people passed through just like a buffet line. It was good and plentiful; I even went back for second helping on some stuff. The show was quite interesting too. Our grandson even got tapped to come up on stage for an group audience participation song; he loved it. Overall, a good experience, but seemed a little overpriced. If I could do over again, I'd search for a more traditional luau, if there is such a thing in this major tourist destination.

The venue is clean and it's really easy to get there. Lots of parking if you're driving in and they take cash or credit for the $10 parking fee. I recommend getting there early so there's time to look around and so you can get good seats within the package you purchased.

The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. All I experienced was smiling faces and kind words. The buffet was good, especially the roast pork. Tender and juicy, never got dry!

I highly recommend getting the Royal package. You will sit closer to the stage and get an excellent view of the show, which is why you're there! The MC was a lot of fun and included the audience throughout the show.

The performances were so beautiful! I especially enjoyed the Blue Hawaii solo, but my jaw dropped during the fire dance. It was so amazing, that there were times I realized that I was holding my breath!

I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my evening!

My husband and I along with my parents booked this luau since it had the best recent ratings. We had the royal package and sat right in the front row. Food was good the service was great they have you turn on a little electric tea light for food (food is all you can eat) or drink service. Chief the narrator has a dry humor witch I loved. The dancers did a dance from each major pacific island for the men and women and a did a few native culture "how used it / made it " items. Over all it was a great experience and very heart warming we loved everything about the luau I would definitely recommend

Way over priced for what you get. Glad I went just to try it but would not go again & would be careful who I recommend it to. Highlights: transportation was included. Pork was delicious. Fire dancing was impressive. Dances were well done. Drinks were tasty despite being watered down. Lowlights: commentary was full of heteronormative nonsense that made almost all of our table cringe. Dances were nice & well done but a commentary of explanation & education to highlight the different Polynesian cultures rather than making them feel interchangeable would have been preferable. Felt very over touristy - like a D-list Disneyland with tiki torches

PROS
•The host was really great. He gave a lot of information and was very funny the entire night.
•We didn't have to wear our masks the entire dinner.
•There was plenty of parking
•Because we upgraded we were right up front for the show
•The performers, male and female were really good
•The fire portion of the show was great

CONS
•The service was extremely slow. We upgraded our admission which gave us extra drinks, which were not strong at all, but couldn't even use all of the tickets because the waitress was so busy.
•The dinner was OK, not what I would expect though for the price.
•Prior to dinner we had our photo taken. They came around to the tables to ask if they wanted to buy them, they never came to our table

Honestly if I could do it again, after having already gone, I think I'd pass. The show was good but for the money spent on the Royal Experience it definitely wasn't worth the money.

Glad we went, good experience. We got the package with transportation, and the experience starts on the ride there. You can make your reservations on line, so don’t be fooled by hotels telling you they’re giving you a discounted rate. The performances are really impressive, the food is pretty good. Alcoholic drinks were mediocre.

Had never been to a luau and wasn’t sure what to expect, but was made to feel like a welcome guest from the start. A little demeaning to have different leis for the different priced packages, but they had to differentiate somehow. Pre-show activities were just right and the food was good. Our party enjoyed the show and all came away feeling we’d gotten our money’s worth. Would definitively recommend it!

I was skeptical at first to do a luau when in Honolulu. I know about the tradition, but this seemed like a tourist trap thing to me. We decided to go none the less and I didn't regret it!! The activities at the beggining were very fun, the food was delicious and the fire knife show was definitely impressive!! A great way to learn more about polynesian traditions while having fun with Chief!

The Chief definitely connect with both my husband and myself! We both tried making fire, I learned how to weave and my husband danced for everyone to see. We loved every minute. We learned and laughed and that’s a magical combination.

Located in Wet n Wild Hawai’i. This show blew me away! We got the Aloha package and it was perfect, I felt I could see everything without a problem. In comparison to another luau on island, this far exceeded my other experience . It was authentic, entertaining, and informative. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The food is excellent, grounds are beautiful, and the host is so charming and funny. Highly recommend Chief’s for your island luau!!
