We were taking the Kamehameha Highway to the north shore and saw the sign to this park. So we took it since it was early part of our trip. The park is up on the side of a hill that overlooks the ancient fishponds to the west and then to the north you can see Chinaman's hat. There were very few people here but it was a nice stop and some good photo ops. Lots of cats inhabit this park.

We took this amazing Kayaking and Snorkeling Adventure from here and it was so much fun. I highly recommend it. We had tour guides named Natalie and Andy. They were super knowledgeable and amazing people. We were also able to free snorkel as well and dive and check out some caves. My daughter and I had a blast. After we kayaked back to the park they barbecued lunch. It was a great day.

This park has a gift shop, and activities. The gift shop has some great prices and gives a discount if you take a tour. We did the kayak/snorkel trip to Coconut Island. There were 5 older adults (over 50) and a teenager for this kayak trip with my group, and we joined two guides, and a group of about ten more. A pontoon boat pulled us out half way, and then we kayaked to Coconut Island, and snorkeled for about an hour. We saw turtles, beautiful coral, and fish. We felt privileged to go to 'Gilligan's Island', as it is a reserve, and not many people get to go there. The price was a little over a hundred dollars. We kayaked back to the park, and they served us a great lunch of bbq'd ribs and chicken, corn on the cob, pineapple, and rice. It tasted so good after the activities. Sam and Bailey were terrific guides, and made this a fun and educational tour. Thanks so much! We would definitely go back to He'eia Park, and maybe next time, would like to try the Catamaran tour? The park has clean bathrooms and a big meeting room, and the views are beautiful! There are banana trees, Plumeria, and other tropical plants at this park, and the picnic areas are shaded, with magnificent views.

We did a half day tour, which leaves at 9am. The tour starts with the boat towing the kayak (this is important because in the morning the wind is in front and the paddleing can be exausting) and it stops in 2 places for snorkeling. You can paddle the way back. The view of the island is just unbelieveble and the water is crystal clear!

Stopped at the marina at the park, He'eia Kea Boat Harbor, and it is a beautiful setting. Mountains covered in green and blue ocean.

This State Park is on the east side of the island. The views are stunning of beautiful beaches and is definitely worth a visit. There is a cooler breeze on this side of the island so makes for a pleasant outing and not too hot.

I don't know why this little point of land is a state park. Maybe it's because of the fishpond in the bay. We went because it was the best place to rent kayaks for exploring Kaneohe Bay. We never saw any information about why it was a state park.

We did the half day snorkeling/kayaking trip. My husband (who is a nonswimmer) and I had never done either one, but still had a blast. Our 2 guides were funny and helpful--plenty to laugh at while we sorted our equipment, etc. The reef was amazing, and the views of the bay and surrounding mountains was incredible. I liked that this is a non-profit outfit; all proceeds benefit youth camps. Lunch was a BBQ cookout and was some of the best food we ate during our trip.
