LOVE LOVE LOVE this Beach and Surroundings [Kalama] in Kailua. Peaceful Plus and Beyond. Be attentive to the parking in the area / neighborhood [signs, etc.]. There is an extremely small beach parking lot [Hawaii style lots for Beaches and Scenic Spots; wait for it,...More

There is a small parking area for this beach but be prepared to wait for a parking spot unless you go early. The restrooms were being built when we visited so porta-potties were used but it will be nice when the bathrooms (and showers, hopefully)...More

We stayed in Kaneohe and hit this beach for an evening swim. Great place. However, touch to find a food afterwards that was a local shop.

Great beach to go to with your family. Not too crowded but very pretty. Water is clear blue almost looks fake. Enjoyed many days there.

There is limited parking off Kalaheo Ave. for visiting the designated parking at the beach park. From Kalama Beach Park there is a fantastic view of Kailua Beach in all directions.

Kalama was close to our vacation house with just a short walk. Early mornings were very quiet with an easy walk in either direction from the public access points. A few days the high tide waves were a little aggressive for beginner boarders but on...More

Kalama is a segment of the lovely Kailua Beach. There is very limited parking and folks wait in line far spaces to open. Consider yourself lucky to find an open space. The beach is clean and water is usually better than further down the way...More

The park was a private residence that was long ago donated to the city. The only amenities are the bath house and shower, but you don't need much more than that. The beach itself is nice white sand that won't burn your feet, and there...More
