The ladies working here were so much fun; I wanted to hang out with them longer! I bought a pair a fun colorful earrings that I would only buy in Hawaii. Cute, small shop. There’s a chocolate store across the street too but we didn’t have time to stop—it looked good though.

This store cannot be missed!! Most things in the store are made from recycled materials and the creativity is amazing!! It's a great place to go for gifts and for ideas on what you can do to use materials rather than throwing them away. Love this store!!

I had read about this shop and was intrigued to visit to check out the muumuu fabric patterns and to see the unique designs that a fellow Aussie has created. I loved the clothes, accessories and homewares, especially the 1960s vibe, and the service was friendly, helpful and fun. I love my purchases, even more so now when I view them back home out of the Hawaiian environment. While the prices weren't the cheapest, this is original lovingly made clothing and accessories and a great souvenir of a Hawaiian holiday. It's a must visit for any fashionistas.

Muumuu Heaven takes beautiful "retired" muumuus and other Hawaiian textiles and makes them into gorgeous clothes and other beautiful things, all one-of-a-kind. I've never seen anything like it -- it's worth a special trip to Kailua

I wanted to buy for myself a bit of islandwear but didn't want to look costumey or touristy. Mu'umu'u Heave was the perfect spot. They recycle mu'umu'u fabrics into modern, chic women's wear that's appropriate anywhere. The helpful sales associates offered us drinks and pupu as my husband sat and I shopped. The selection was impressive, but remember that all the fabrics are recycled, so patterns are very limited. I mentioned that Michelle Obama is a style icon for me, and they pulled the dresses that she purchased when the first family visited a few years ago. After trying on several great choices, I purchased a great top for $125. Even the shopping bag they gave me was adorable -- a very usable tote made of recycled aloha shirt fabric! I love this store and look forward to visiting them again.

This store is a must!! Everything offered is made from recycled materiels, i.e. pillows made from used aloha shirts and dresses made from old muumuus. There is also an amazing collection of glassware from the past. Don't miss this great store in Kailua, Hawaii!!

Spent Thanksgiving week in Hawaii and visited Muumuu Heaven twice. Got some great Christmas gifts for friends and some special things for myself - lovely bamboo dress, holiday peace catcher and some really cool belts and wallets made out of recycled fire hoses (part of the proceeds go to families of fallen fire fighters). If you're in Kailua you really should stop by Muumuu Heaven for a special made-in-Hawaii gift.

This is a great shop and a great way to spend an hour or so - you need it to rummage through everything they have and really take it all in including the overall concept which is incredible. Do not miss this when in Kailua - the staff are fantastic and so proud of their shop and wares - the more you buy the more little freebies you get too - some things are pricey but you have to put everything into perspective!! Loved it!

Muumuu Heaven is on my list of favourite places to visit on Oahu. Kailua is a great place and this shop is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and always make us feel welcome. The clothes and homewares are beautiful and it is wonderful to see old fabrics reborn. The prices are a little steep but the pieces are usually one of a kind. The sizes can be very small and for Australian size 12 and up you will have to hunt for your special piece. This was my third visit and I came away with a fabulous pair of wide leg pants. Everytime I wear them I am in muumuu heaven. Great shop, staff and owners.
