A wonderful tour, with a knowledgable, experienced tour guide, Dave. Dave provided guidance and encouragement with our varied experience levels. He chatted up our teenagers with both kayaking information and relevant historical facts about the Hawaiian Islands, while keeping an eye on my mother-in-law and me. We learned about both the wildlife and the fauna of the area. Dave also... More

Dave was an exceptional guide for our bachelor party of 13 on a trip to Chinamans Hat Island. Thoroughly recommend Dave and team for any kayaking adventure.

This tour was an amazing experience. I wish I had booked the five hour tour. I Kayaked to China Man's Hat the tiny Island (Mokoli'i) off Oahu then hiked up it. David "booge-D" Elgas the tour master was super informative about the Islands history. He kept the tour interesting by explaining how fish were caught in the ancient fishing pools,... More

We had scheduled for 2 hours on North Shore; but, the surf was HUGE. David called ahead to talk through our options and we elected a day later for Kahana Bay. We are newbies at kayaking but felt very comfortable and very safe with David as guide. As stated by others, David is very knowledgeable, history, flora, fauna, fish; he... More

We kayaked out to Chinaman's Hat, climbed it, spent some time swimming, then kayaked back and around the shore. I loved it! The view are amazing, and Boogie D, the guide, is very friendly and full of cool stories. Do be aware that the only way to get to the top of the Hat is by climbing to rock faces.... More

We did the 5-hour kayak trip out to China Man's Hat. On the small island, we took a terrific hike to the top and had a wonderful swim off of a small beach. Afterward, we paddled to a secluded beach spot on Oahu before kayaking along the shore to do some exploring. Along the way, we rode some waves, saw... More

My family and I did the 5 hour trip to Chinaman's Hat when we were in Oahu last week. David and his wife put together a wonderful trip. The trip was private and customized. We paddled out to the island and then hiked to the top. After the hike we walked to the other side of the island and swam.... More

David, our guide was really flexible and worked around our schedule. We paddled out in the open ocean, and also up a river. We had a great time and learned a lot about Hawai along the way. Highly recommend this if you're visiting the north shore!

We thoroughly recommend Dave's 7 hour ocean kayak tour from Sunset to Hali'ewa. His knowledge of surfing, fishing, Hawaiian history and culture was amazing. With the trade winds and currents in your favour, Dave's guidance and frequent stops, the trip was much easier than we expected. Definitely put this on your list of things to do.

I had a wonderful experience out kayaking with David. His kayaking trips are with you and your group only - not a bunch of strangers. David and I went 2.5 miles out into the ocean - exhilarating! He knew so much about the water and how it moved that I felt 100% comfortable out there. He also shared a wealth... More
