Such an amazing tour seeing turtles and learning about the Hawaiian heritage. Loved the tour with the rope swing on the river too!

Absolutely fantastic! We did a great Kayak with Boogie D back in 2014 and were keen to tackle another adventure, Dave delivered in spades. This time we did the three hour Chinaman's hat tour. THe kayak trip was smooth, starting out at 7am was a great way to beat the wind. I was a bit apprehensive about actual climb (we are in our 60s) but Dave and his mate D Wash made it a breeze. Dave is very competent and has a great easy charm as he explains features and history of the area. Walking around the island was also great, with the opportunity for a swim. Highly recommended and we will be back with Dave next trip

Wow, what a great kayak tour! We read the great reviews before booking, and they were absolutely accurate! David is a full service, knowledgeable guide, providing everything needed... kayaks, life jackets and his expertise throughout the tour. We had great communication with David through the whole process including simple booking, information about what to expect, and clear text messages about where to meet. Once we finally met up, David was like a long lost pal, showing us how to use the kayaks, and willing to go at whatever pace suited us. Throughout the tour, he shared information and stories about the area and the wildlife around us. It was so much better to have someone guide us rather than just getting in kayaks and being on our own. Thank you David and Catherine for your hospitality and we hope to be back again!

I was attempting to get my kids out of the hotel and off their phones. To them, everything was "boring". Zipline was just okay, but "been there done that". Power boarding and paragliding was sold out, so we settled for kayaking. My kids kayak before but I'm a little over protective, so I wanted a guide, as we are in new waters. I found Coastal on TripAdvisor. We booked the BBQ package, with my kids kayaking and my wife and I just there for dinner. Dinner and the Hawaiian Sunset on the beach is just magical and priceless. This coming from someone who live near the beach in California. Good food and good company was a bonus. David and Catherine brought fruit, herbs and peppers from their home garden. Farm to Beach. We had chicken and tri tip. I thought tri tip was just a California thing. Our kids started out a little rusty. When they got to then rougher part at the mouth of the ocean, I could tell they were having trouble. I was glad we had David out there to guide them. By time came back from going up the river, their paddling were in sync. After 2 hours of paddling, they were not sore the next day. My wife and I were planning to go shopping or stand in the hour long line at Matsumoto's, while the kids were kayaking, but Catherine kept us interested in all the local stories that we would not hear from your normal tour guides. Tip: If there was one thing I wish David would have told us before we arrived was to bring sunglasses, with polarized lens, so we could see the turtles through the murky waters. Catherine also does skydiving. Yeah, we are not doing that.

Super knowledgeable about Hawaii - so it's like an added feature. Especially for folks coming to Hawaii to know about the history and the land you are utilizing during your stay. Highly recommend!
