The Surf Bus North Shore excursion was a great tour that really did exceed my expectations. The tour operator/bus driver gave a very detailed history lesson of the Hawaiian Islands and was able to expound on everything we saw along the way on the ride to the North Shore. I had originally planned to rent a car and make the drive up to Waimea/Haliewa myself but the Surf Bus ended up being comparable in price and more relaxing. I went on a Sunday so traffic was not heavy so that was a plus. I skipped the kayaking and chose lunch at one of the Shrimp Trucks and the Waimea Falls hike. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Great fun was had by all. Uncle Kevin couldn’t have been more fun and engaging than he was. The pace and stops along the route gave you a great feel for Oahu’s North Shore. Kevin was raised in Oahu so is able to give you a deeper insight into current and historical events that make Oahu what it is today.

Uncle Kevin picked my friend Deb and I up at our hotel in Waikiki and took us all over the north shore. He told us all the history of the island of Oahu along the way. He took us shopping to some art galleries, to the waiheli (sp?) waterfall and botanical gardens, to a macadamia nut farm, the dole plantation and we even stopped at pipeline and another beach and saw a real sea turtle sleeping on the beach. There were other activities offered such as surfing, snorkeling or paddle boarding etc as well. We had a great day and learned a lot. Would recommend this tour to anyone who likes this kind of tour. Uncle Kevin is a spectacular tour guide!

I took the Surf Bus North Shore tour today. Our tour guide Kevin was the best - knowledgeable, personable, and easy going. Just the right amount of stops throughout the trip to stretch our legs, Kevin had great tips on where to eat and what to order. I did the waterfall hike and kayaking - perfect day for both.
