We did the boat dive off Waikiki. One of us was certified and one of us had never dove before. Ricardo obviously knew his stuff and was training a young guy to become an instructor, which was nice to see the knowledge being passed down to a new generation. The boat was pretty crowded and the respirators were obviously not being sanitized other than by sea water so if you are worried about COVID, I would not recommend doing this activity. We saw turtles, fish, an octopus and a small white tipped reef shark. We also saw a pod of dophins beside the boat as we went out to the diving spot. It was great fun for cost, although we snorkeled every day after that and saw pretty much all the same things just from the surface.

Sorry for the long post but we spent 4 days with Hawaii Ecodivers and can’t say enough about them! We had a bucket list set of dives with our two teenagers with Adam and Cam! We dove sharks cove, Cathedrals and Three Tables on the north shore and saw tons of fish and turtles. The lava tubes made the dive an adventure. Adam knew the sites like the back of his hand as we traveled in and out of lava tubes. His extensive experience on the dive sites is the reason to dive with Ecodivers. Adam is methodical, calming and so easy to dive with. He’s great with kids and less experienced divers too.

We also had some amazing dives on the Sea Tiger wreck with Cam. The first thing we saw as we descended was a huge seat turtle then a white tipped reef shark. The fish were huge and everywhere and you could see all the way to the surface from 100’ below. Cam was so organized and knowledgeable about diving from his military background. Nothing rattled him. Even when we descended to tough surges and poor visibility on our first day at the pipeline he kept everyone together and composed as we ascended. Cam is a great addition to the Hawaii Ecodivers family. The captain of the charter was awesome too and had a hysterical dog, Sushi, that helped to call the gigantic pod of spinner dolphins as we set up for diving.

The owner, Ricardo, is so genuine and accommodating. You can tell how much this crew truly loves what they do. Thank you for a lifetime of memorable experiences!

This company was amazing! I called them last min (like 10 minutes before the start time) and they were able to add me into the dive! They had someone from the dive shop drive over to meet me with gear. I can not say enough about this company. They went above and beyond to make this dive happen for me. The dive on the north shore, at sharks cove, was fantastic; such unique such cool typography! Much better than the south shore. I highly recommend this company for north shore diving. Mahalo!

Extraordinary team, with marine biologist dive master. I loved the shore dive as there was no chance to get seasick on a boat. Our small team was cared of and we all cared about the ocean. Ricardo emphasized breathing control before our dive, allowing us to better conserve our air and have long bottom times. Nicole, who is a marine biologist, was very knowledgeable about all the animals and gave us a little talk on Hawai’i’s fish before we went on the dive. The human-made ecosystem at electric beach was very intersting. We saw lots of fish, some turtles, and even some sharks! Nicole and Ricardo are excellent guides—we highly recommend Eco Divers!

My daughter and I just got our Rescue Dive Cert and were looking for a fun dive to celebrate. Eco Divers had great reviews and had openings on the day we needed to dive. The weather was not the greatest and we were given the option to reschedule but we decided to go for it! And SO GLAD we did! We had two wonderful dives with Max-she provided a great dive briefings for both sites and the conditions to expect. She also shared good pre-info about some of the sea life we might see. Cathedrals was amazing as were the lava tubes. We saw octapus, eels, a Spanish dancer Nudi, and heard dolphins…but it was the huge dancing manta ray that made our day! We would definitely recommend Eco Divers for any of your Oahu diving adventures! Mahalo!! 🫶🫶🤿🤿

About their Apnea and Surf Survival Class: This course is a must for people with serious aspirations to push their limits in the water—surfers, divers, first responders. I would also highly recommend the class to anyone who'd just like to be safer and much better prepared to survive or to assist a victim in a life threatening situation. This course helped me increase my own body's self-awareness, and it allowed me to push my limits in a safe environment. I definitely feel better equipped to foster my surfing, and I also feel much more competent to help in an emergency situation. Thank you Ricardo and Sophie for an incredible experience. Aloha and Pura Vida 🙏🏽.

We (a dad and two daughters age 16 and 11) had an excellent experience with Hawaii Eco - from the shop staff to the dive team. We dove the shipwreck in Honolulu with Ethan as our guide. His impeccable balance of laid back calmness with soothing professionalism was fantastic for my two daughters. My 16 yr old described the shipwreck dive as "the best 20 minutes of my life!" We enjoyed it so much that we asked to dive again the next day at Sharks Cove. The staff, especially Ethan who came in on his day off to guide us, made it happen for us. World class customer service from people dedicated to making sure everyone loves the dive experience. All in all - book you dive with them now!!!

We just did a quick shore dive off of Electric Beach. If you have new/young divers this is an excellent place to start. A huge shout out to Julian who was kind, thoughtful and very attentive with my 10 year on his first dive. My son is pretty slight in build and had trouble keeping upright while trying to maintain neutral buoyancy. Not only was Julian incredibly patient (as was the rest of the group) but he basically held his tank as he swam along for nearly 20-30 minutes. It's small things like that which can make or break a young diver's first experience and thanks to him, my son loved it.

I'd absolutely recommend them based on my experience with this instructor alone. The office was easy to deal with, helpful and communicative. The site was great for beginners - we even got to see a pod of dolphins. Julian if you read this, I appreciate everything you did! Thanks again.

Unsafe, go elsewhere. April 2023 brought 3 friends for discovery dive and then Open Water course. Specifically was promised 3:1 ratio but it was 5:1 on the day, too many for conditions. Controlled water dives done in open surf after 30m swim. Leaking air hose, mask flooded 2x due to faulty seal, and dive master returned more than an hour later than scheduled which did our nerves in. Shop owner first defensive and rude then apologetic claiming stress -- he also said "we have never had an accident". Yet.

We went on a two-tank shore dive at Shark’s Cove yesterday and it was one of the best dives we have ever been on. We saw multiple eels, sea turtles, and most of our small group saw a white-tip shark. The Cathedral swim through was so beautiful and it was fun swimming through the various lava tubes. I was a little hesitant at first, but then it was really fun and mesmerizing. Julian was our dive master and he was the nicest and most accommodating dive master we have dived with. He was always making sure that we were comfortable, explained everything we would be seeing, and even helped us find our camera when it got lost. I had a hard time regulating, as my ears were giving me some issues. He made sure I was okay and kept the dive very relaxed and was so helpful. I felt very comfortable the whole time. I cannot recommend Hawaii Eco Divers enough! 100% worth it! Thank you, Julian and Hawaii Eco Divers.
