We were there in July and of course if you are anywhere near the North Shore you MUST go surfing! We were a family of four and had two great instructions just for us. Everyone there was so kind and knowledgeable. I suggest going in the morning as the waves as much better. We did not worry about taking any... More

Hi Tammy, I am sorry to hear you did not get your pictures. There must be some sort of misunderstanding and I will try to get to the bottom of it for you. Could you possibly send your email to sunsetsuratt@gmail.com and I will make sure Heath gets those photos resent to you. Aloha, Lisa More

This was our first experience surfing, and we really enjoyed ourselves! Glad we chose the semi-private lesson, as this gave us a little more direct attention and access to more waves, whereas the group lesson that day was around 6 people (who either got queued up a little longer or got smaller waves). Our instructor was very friendly and got... More

Everyone was great. Not only did we all have some good runs, we have a ton on fun pictures to prove it. They even gave us great recommendations for food (which was good because we were exhausted after our two hours)!

We did a 2hr private group - my wife and I (50+) and our two boys (18 - 20). We had 2 instructors who were great to us - super helpful to my wife and I as we were pretty much gassed after about 30 minutes, so they really helped keep us going for a bit longer so we could... More

Surfing is a strenuous activity; they make it a little easier on you by having an extra instructor help tow you around and keep you positioned in the right place. They get you on the water quickly; but cut our 2hr lesson about 10-15min short. Not complaining, just informing; I was exhausted. An hour long lesson would be way to... More

This was a great, affordable ($80 for two hours) North Shore activity. Uncle Bryan has the reefs figured out to find the waves even during the "flat" summer season. He is welcoming, has cold water, and beach chairs under a tent for the spectators. Instructors are 1:5 and they take good care of their students.

Owner is super nice. But I found 2 of the instructors were a tad bit condescending out on the water right from the first attempt at a wave. I'm not a surfing expert on my first day and that's why I paid $80 for an intro lesson. They left out some info that would have been super helpful to know... More

Our family of five had never been surfing so we made sure to book a lesson while on the North Shore. We chose Uncle Bryan's because of all the great reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. Uncle Bryan was friendly and engaging and Marshall and Miles were really patient and supportive. All five of us were able to... More

I really wanted to try surfing on our trip to the north shore and, along with my two kids (in their twenties), we signed up for a semi-private lesson. Vi and Alex were our instructors and we had a blast. Can't argue with a 3:2 instructor to student ratio! We got all the surfing we could handle and I was... More
