My husband & I visited Purdy's macadamia nut farm in May 2016. Learn all about the production of macadamias & sample fresh macadamia nuts, macadamia honey, macadamia honey mustard, etc. The fresh macadamias from this farm were so delicious, & we had to buy some to enjoy back home!

The owner is a homesteader and is proud of what he has accomplished there. His talk is very informative and the demonstrations are hands on. The products he sells are varied and reasonably priced.

We enjoyed the many varieties of flowering trees and plants alongside the many Macadamia trees. We found the explanation of "Mac" farming interesting along with interactive opportunities to crack ripe nuts and tasting of the lightly roasted and salted nuts a great treat. We enjoyed them so much, we purchased a large bag of macadamia nuts grown, harvested and prepared... More

We learned how the Purdy family harvests the Mac nuts, dries, shells, and roasts them. We were able to taste the nuts, some delicious mustard, and honey while talking story with Mikayla. The Purdys sell all their products right on site so we took home some goodies. It was a fun way to spend an hour. Aloha

We got far more than we expected! I thought they would show us how to crack a macadamia and then we would buy some yummy macadamia cookies from their shop. Instead Mr. Purdy's sister spent about an hour giving us a wonderful history and lesson about macadamias, she taught us several parts about cracking and sorting nuts, and treated us... More

Interesting to be able to learn all about macadamia nut trees and how the nuts grow. Also nice to be able to crack and eat a raw macadamia nut. The folks there are very informative. Cute kitties patrol the grounds to keep the rodent population under control. The nuts were yummy

CASH ONLY. Our tour took us to this farm. The owner or owner's sister provides a short education on how Macadamia nuts grow, see the trees and how they crack them. Each person gets to crack one to try their tools. The price is $10-15 per bag. We bought macadamia honey that we also got to taste test, it was... More

Very interesting and entertaining visit. Learned more about macadamia nuts then I anticipated, but the best part was listening to Mr. Purdy talk about the island, the people and the history. Of course, cracking the nuts and eating them was very enjoyable- I thought the ones I purchased would last until we got home, but they were so delicious only... More

This is a little family owned and ran Nut orchard. The lady that gave us our tour and demonstration was family member. Very knowledgeable and interesting. learned a lot about the Macadamia nuts. We missed it the first time we went looking for it. You have to turn and go behind the high school and there was only a little... More
