Underrated and Underappreciated

There are big name courses on Maui, but Kahili deserves more appreciation than it seems to receive. We really like the elevation changes, and the challenges this course provides.

I feel sorry for tourists and how much they have to pay to play golf on Maui. Friendly staff. This is a decent track at a fairly reasonable price. Eat at the restaurant after, very good food for the money as well. Rounds can be sloooow, and the greens may not be the best.

Played very for $75.00, which is a great value for Island golf. Greens were a bit rough due to aeration but still fun.

Very nice course on the Wialea side of Maui. Sloping fairways will keep you thinking about shot placement. Loads of fun.

I played the Kahili course twice, (with the Kahili Mahalo package, which also gets you on the private King Kamehameha course.) The staff at Kahili is very friendly & helpful. The course is very good, although the greens were bumpy & had some pock marks. That was the one drawback of this course. When putting, watch the grain, as that... More

Troon took over the management of Kahili, with few visible changes- except the pricing. Unless you have a Hawaiian Driver's License, they jacked up their lowest visitor rate from $55 to $105. Quite Simply, not worth that. Its a nice layout, but the course is plagued by high winds and rain. Unless price is no object, and while still a... More

The ambience of this golf course is out of this world even though I've played here a hundred times in my almost 22 years in Maui. It doesn't change the way I looked at it from the first time I played back in 1997. The most special thing that brings me back over and over to this golf course is... More

Very windy when I was there. Greens were in very poor condition but it's in Maui so the views and locale was phenomenal. I'd like to give it three and a half stars.

Our flight out was at 11:00pm so we decided to play golf in the afternoon before we left. I am glad we chose Kahili. Get on line and check their pricing. You can find some less expensive rounds in the afternoon. Locals play very cheaply and while it wasn't cheap it was only $65. Most HI courses stick it to... More

Great golf course layout, service and facilities. Enjoyed our early morning round (felt like we were the only ones playing) in 3 hours. I would have rated the course 5 but a few of the greens were in terrible condition. Beware of the Maui Tradewinds even early in the morning.
