As I expected the shelling on Maui beaches is pretty poor- steep shores with high energy shorelines tend to result in broken shells. However, Baldwin beach is an exception. There is a wrack line dominated by broken coral but with shells throughout.
Although we made only a short stop we could enjoy the beautiful beach. We had optimal swimming conditiones. The beach is equipped with bathrooms and pciknick area. Can't remember, if there have been food stores or if they only were closed.
