We planned a relaxed, low-key stay in Maui with this spa as the reason for our visit to the island. And our visit was just amazing. Upon our arrival, we were able to relax on the lanai with some flavored water. The staff was great to interact with and we started our treatments with a couples herbal bath, which was great to experience. We both had a lomi lomi massage, which was one of the best massages I've ever had. After our treatments, we were able to get some great gifts in the spa's shop, which has a variety of items from local Hawaiian artisans and shops. The staff also kindly provided some dining recommendations. Next time we are in Hawaii, we will absolutely be back!Thank you Alissera! What a great day to start the new year. The bath house is so serene and calming. The body polish was incredible and the Lomi Lomi massage was unlike any massage experience I’ve ever had. We drive to Paia after our treatments and eat at Flatbread Pizza. It's now a tradition. My service was with Malie this time and my friend had Isla. I was happy with my massage therapist. She did an excellent job and did the traditional chant before beginning. We also took advantage of the bath house out back with a soak prior to our treatment(s). Haven’t had a massage in a few years, so when I heard about this place from my brother, my wife and I decided to give it a try. From the moment you walk through the door the atmosphere is very relaxing. I had the privilege of having Meggie Walsh as my masseuse. I chose the Lomi lomi hot stone massage and my wife had the signature lomi lomi. Meggie was amazing with those stones & made feel like she was melting away all my tension. By the time my wife and I walked out of there we felt relaxed and rejuvenated. Thanks Meggie for the awesome treatment.

Visiting this spa for a prenatal massage was one of the top highlights of my week in Maui! Stepping onto the property and inside the spa brought an instant sense of peace as the space is quiet and beautiful. They did a great job with COVID precautions, including taking temperatures at the door, doing a screening, and having all the doors and windows open. My husband enjoyed the scenery on their porch while I got my massage.
My therapist Meggie was so knowledgeable and competent for working with pregnant women. The kukui butter used for massage smelled incredible. I felt so relaxed after my message! Please support Native Hawaiian owned businesses and culture and visit this spa!

I booked massages for my wife and I online, requesting separate rooms. From the beginning, booking the massages and subsequent communication, through the massages themselves and follow up communication, the staff of Ho’omana Spa are excellent in every way. I very much appreciated the ease of the initial booking process, since at the time I was camping my way across British Columbia on a motorcycle. When we arrived at the spa, we were taken by the beauty and calm of the Maui upcountry setting. Our masseuses, Char and Alysha introduced themselves and gave us massage product options, all of which are hand made and of high quality. Both Char and Alysha sang blessings at the beginning of the massage. My masseuse, Alysha, sang the blessing in Hawaiian, in a voice that was quietly strong and genuine and lovely.
I opted for a hot stone deep tissue lomi lomi massage. I never had a hot stone massage before, and I most definitely will again. Alysha is a caring and wise professional, with profound intuition and body intelligence. She was able to open areas of tension in my neck, back and shoulders that remained from the previous long motorcycle trip. And in her massage style she communicates respect and a healing energy.
I highly recommend Ho’omana Spa. If possible, do make a visit here a part of your time on Maui.

The talented therapists gave my husband and I some of the best massages we have ever had. They were therapeutic — improving our problem areas and erasing the aches and stress from our long flight the day before. I had the four hand treatment and While it was expensive, it was definitely worth it!

The family of 7 adults took our last full day in Maui to get spa treatments. We wanted authentic, relaxing treatments by qualified professionals. We have had massages and other spa treatments before, some great, some good, and some not so good.
My husband and I did the Couples Retreat. This included herbal bath (beautiful, private bath house with two seven foot granite tubs), full body polish/scrub and 50 minute Lomi Lomi massage. My therapist was Mikel and my husband's and son's was Shelby. Mikel also provided the initial intake and education. He did excellent with both. My husband and son both said Shelby was also excellent.
I always ask that my lower back and feet get special attention. It usually doesn't occur or I'm in pain in those areas for a few days. Not with Mikel, my body felt great and continues to feel relaxed and no pain.The other therapists that provided massages to family members included Isla and Elizabeth, also excellent.
I don't write reviews often, but I had to share a review about Ho'Omana Spa. They don't just provide spa treatments, they provide an Aloha, Maui experience. This will be a must do on our annual trip to Maui.
Lastly, the owner Jeana Naluai, was professional, sweet and a joy to work with. Even after our treatments she reached out with post treatment instructions (stretches to do and drinking water over the next 48 hours) to continue our self-care. Mahalo to the team at Ho'Omana Spa Maui.
I can't say enough about the Spa, the grounds, the atmosphere and aura of the Ho'omana Spa. It was peaceful, beautiful and entire team professional.

Up a windy road above all the hustle of Maui, you will find this gem. More like a house on a large beautiful oasis, this spa is the real deal. You are treated like Ohana here and the services they offer are top notch. My wife, who has been to many spas, said it was probably the best massage of her life and I'd have to agree. After making the trek up the mountain, you remove your shoes and enter into the place where you are greeted warmly and offered water or house made tea (lemongrass both times I visited). They review what you would like to have done and invite you into a comfortable room to prepare. The time started with a prayer and it was so great. We did an 80 min couples massage and I returned a week later for a 50 min solo massage. Actually I returned one morning because there was an issue with one of the products we bought and they happened to have an opening. I had a headache (too many Mai Tai's?) and was feeling a bit run down so it was perfect. Both times it was super relaxing.
The place isn't fancy, but it is comfortable like home. Go because you want to be treated with kindness and respect, you want a great massage and you want to get away for a time in the gorgeous upcountry.

I always love Ho'omana Spa. Its an immersion in Hawaiian healing. Today my 80 minute signature massage was with Kaili and she was beyond excellent. The setting is divine, the products are all made on site and are so nurturing, natural and healing. I am never disappointed when I go to Ho'omana, and I don't believe anyone would be anything but grateful, refreshed, rejuvenated and transformed by the experience.

My husband and I had a lomi lomi massage with hot stones . My therapist was Lauren. She used just the right amount of pressure of my tight shoulders and back and a light touch on my legs like I asked. It was so relaxing and I felt a lot of tension release.
The spa itself is peaceful and welcoming. We also bought a lemon grass body butter that they make on site.

I had a deep tissue massage in my room at hotel wailea. It was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Barbara combined deep tissue , hot stones and stretching which my body really needed as an athlete. Thank you Barbara!

A friend and I had the treatment (body polish, lomi lomi hot stone massage and facial) and it completely worked the travel kinks out. Michal has a healing touch and way about him that puts you at ease from the moment you meet him and his skills are amazing. Cassandra has the perfect touch for working out the kinks and gives a marvelous facial! That and the setting - a gentle breeze blowing through curtained windows, music, skilled hands and a chance to pick the scents you find healing / helpful make this a hopefully more than once in a lifetime experience. It is worth the drive to the upcountry location... The gift shop is fairly priced, and full of great gift ideas, for yourself or someone else.
