About
Our business began as the dream of founder Peter Baldwin. His family’s been in Maui for generations, and he wanted to do something special with their horseback riding and cattle venture. As a lover of the great outdoors, Peter wanted to share the breathtaking scenery of our home with as many people as possible. Enter Pi’iholo Ranch Zipline in 2008. Since we opened, we’ve worked hard to become one of the premier zipline attractions in the country, welcoming people from all over the world. If you’re looking for an adventurous way to appreciate the island, we hope you’ll join us for an exhilarating experience unlike any other. Mahalo!

This was my first zip line experience, and after hearing and reading feedback from other zip lining places, Phiiholo definitely sets the bar high up! The team (John, Dave, George) is amazing, super professionals, and most importantly friendly and a lot of fun! I am terrified of heights, but this experience made me feel very safe and supported. This was a 5 line deal that started with a baby line to get you acquainted and ended on a 2,800 feet long line that takes 1 minute to complete. The views are amazing and breathtaking. Highly recommended! Thank you Phiiholo team for the great time!

We're glad to set the bar, and the ziplines, high! It's normal to be scared of heights, and we know that with support, that doesn't have to get in the way of a fun time! Thanks for joining us for a great time -- we'd love to welcome you back.
Until then,
The Piiholo Team

Nate, AKA Nate Dog, AKA The Best That Ever Did It, rocked our worlds and kept us laughing the entire time we were there.
All around great experience with great staff.
The 5th run is 800 feet off the ravine floor.
Unbelievable
Thanks for the memories boys

This was our second visit to Piiholo Ranch Zipline and it was just as great as our first visit several years prior! Our crew, Mike, Paxon, and Daniel, were fun and safe! We've been on other ziplines and feel PRZ has better equipment and safety features than others we've been on. We found out that the guys grew up together and it really made their connections with us more enjoyable. They were very clear in their safety instruction as well as pointing out key things to look for during each zipline. They also gave us some great local suggestions for their favorite places to eat! We're happy to say that we highly agreed with their recommendations and have put them on our favorites list for future visits. We'll definitely be back to PRZ! Thanks for a great time!!!

The Pi'iholo Ranch Ziplining was one of our top Maui adventures. The ziplines are in the forest and cross a gully, providing spectacular views. Don't be fooled by other ziplines that offer more lines because Pi'iholo offers very fast and long lines with the longest being 1/2 mile. They also allow you to go at your own pace and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Definitely will go here again.

This was a super fun activity that felt safe and included amazing views of the valley, rain forest, and pools. The day we went it was raining throughout, so on a sunnier day you can see Maui from Ocean to Mt. Haleakala.
our guides were Dez, Jason, and Dave. They made sure to explain gear, technique, and where to look for the best views. We did the 5-line package. Water and a granola bar were provided. We highly recommend this to first-timers looking for activities on Maui!

A few in our family were hesitant but the crew from initial greeting to end was beyond expectations. Super appreciate the light hearted "funny" greeting with awesome ukulele singers. Would recommend and have to many friends.

We had such an enjoyable time zip-lining as a couple. The beauty of Maui was everywhere, and the zip lines were long enough to give time to really get a good view of the scenery. The staff and especially the main tour guide was absolutely hilarious and so fun to talk with from zip line to zip line. Also, we felt completely at ease and safe with all of the safety measures they took (helmets, harnesses, safety ropes, gates before getting too close to the edge). Also, it did not take much effort in the way of fitness, small hikes to the next zip line, although we did have to carry our own gear and I could see how that could be difficult for some. A little boy and also a retired Grandmother (who was in good health) were in our group and both were able to do it with no problem. I would say the staff and the scenery were what made us love this so much! We will recommend this to anyone we know who is traveling to Maui. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!

My girlfriend joined my husband & I zipping after watching Haleakala sunrise. We had such a good time. The guides are fun, friendly but also safety conscious. The ending half mile zip is incredible and fun way to put a period on our experience. The harness is super comfortable- like going in a hammock. I’ve ziplined several times but never this comfortably. My girlfriend thanked me profusely for booking this zip line adventure. Her husband was not able to zip due to weight constraints but he enjoyed watching most of our zips by paying $25 fee to walk most of course.

Zipping was fun! Our guides were great and made the trip fun even though it was raining the whole time. Beautiful rainbows and scenery.
Suspension bridges on way up to platforms. First platform was pretty scary because we were not sure what to expect but after we realized we were secure and clipped in we were able to relax and enjoy the ride. Best zip was the last longest line.

We had such a great time! Our guide Skyler and his crew were so helpful for the first time zippers and made us all feel very safe. The lines were so fun and had something for even the frequent zippers. My husband Bad Brad pretty much road all lines upside down and probably had the most fun out of the 9 of us in our group. This place is great, safe, fun, and the entire team has great positive energy and I would defiantly go back for another round.

Hello, Is this a good place to zipline for a couple on their honeymoon or more geared to families?
Thank you!
Written May 4, 2020
It is great for both, because you can zip at the same time. Great views and the team at Piiholo are very good. They make everyone at ease and entertain.

The hike between towers is not strenuous at all. Climbing the rope bridge ramps up to the towers is a little challenging but take it nice and slow and you will be fine. The best experience of sailing over the jungle canopy is so worth it!

The combo waterfall tour.... do you go along the curvy road to Hana to get to it or is it a normal drive from the ranch?
Written November 7, 2018

Hi! We would like to book this but am concerned as my 11 year old son weighs just above or just below the 75 pound minimum. Do you weigh everyone with the gear on? If yes then I think we will be ok! Thank you.
Written August 22, 2017
They weight each person as they arrive and sign up for the zip line - no gear will be on them.

I am looking to zipline with my daughter (10yrs) and husband. My daughter has gone zip lining once- which tour would you recommend for us?
Written June 27, 2017
Piholo would be your best option. They are funny and professional. Kids can go on a zip line tour together.

Hi, I am 65 years old and will be in Maui early February. I am 35 lbs. overweight and very out of shape. I never exercise or use stairs. The two friends I am traveling with are very athletic and excited to try zip lining. As I've aged, I've become very afraid/nervous about doing anything out of my comfort zone (which is very limited). I don't want to miss out on this experience as I know my travel partners will be excited talking about it afterwards. One of my concerns is whether I am physically able to walk the distance between lines and my main/huge concern is whether I will be able to manage the stairs. I would love to hear about or from others with similar concerns as mine and how/if they managed. Oh, did I forget to mention, I'm also afraid of heights! Thank you!

Aloha, How very brave of you to consider to try something out of your comfort zone. We have two very different courses. The original Zipline is the "cadillac" system with the weight limit at 275.lbs. This would be the best course for you due to the fact that you do not have to brake yourself, and it does not turn from side to side, but in a straight line. The first Zip is designed to get you started, as it's closer to the ground and the shortest. Our guides are SUPER great about helping you feel comfortable. As far as how far to walk, you do need to be able to walk about 1 mile total throughout the course. The stairs are steep, but you can take your time and go slow.
The tree top canopy course has very little walking, but you do brake yourself and can turn from side to side making it more adventurous. The weight limit on this course is 250 lbs. Hope that helps.
