After a hearty BBQ dinner, guests will experience the story of the horse in Hawaii through storytelling, Hawaiian music, hula and of course riding demonstrations. If you are not staying at a hotel on the Westside, Pick up location is the Lahaina Cannery Mall. Our reservation team will contact you to confirm pick up time and location. So amazing. The show and people were spectacular. They just suffered a huge fire Aug 24. They need financial help now!

This is the one and only horse luau on the islands. The food is amazing. A very nice quaint setup in the hills above Lahaina with spectacular views of the island and the ocean. The horses are absolutely magnificent and so are the riders. It's a story being told about Hawaiians being introduced to the cowboys. You will love it!

Unique show that includes horses, hula and great food! Beautiful views and relaxed atmosphere. Great Kama'aina rates, it was a perfect way to show our mainland guests the history of the Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys)! Would definitely recommend!

A refreshing and unique window into to the story and history of the horse and cowboy on the Hawaiian islands. Definitely a twist to the familiar luau. The horses, riders, entertainment, and musicians were phenomenal, very professional (the horses well groomed and trained) and thoroughly enjoyable. A four was given because of the cost and $ saved on the big box store of a small bottle of water, a can of soda or juice, and a 6-compartment tray of actually a good quality (small quantity) of 2 ribs, a chicken section, macaroni & cheese, corn bread, salad, and a square of a tasty chocolate type of a sheet cake dessert. Over $100 per person. Really?

Excellent luau! Dinner was excellent and the entertainment was wonderful. It was about how the horse came to Hawaii told through Hawaiin song, dance and the horse and their riders! Great night!

Beautiful Hawaiian story telling show!!! All about the history of horses and how they came to the Hawaiian Islands and eventually served a purpose for the people of Hawaii. The audience was small and quaint, great music, delicious meal, and wonderful staff.

not what we expected based on web site

Experienced May 2016. Was ok but nothing we'd repeat. The snacks were water/soft drinks and chips, which was not what was advertised on website.

Fun evening under the stars

The show was enjoyable, horses and dress stunning, and all the stuff were friendly and wonderful. The barbeque dinner was very good and just the right portion. They allow you to bring in beer, wine and soft drinks etc you may want. They serve water and juice with the meal. The setting is small and intimate, just right for enjoying the show. They provide a shuttle pick up at various locations, we were to be picked up at 6pm at the Cannery. This is my only negative. The shuttle did not pick us up until 6:30 (traffic is variable), so the first part of the show was starting when we arrived, others were already eating and we missed the gorgeous sunset that you can view from the location. We felt rushed when we arrived but as stated earlier, the staff were wonderful and quickly seated us and served our meal. Overall, wonderful and different experience in Maui.

We got crowded into van and when we got to the destination the driver told me to step onto a rubber step which when I did, I immediately slid hard onto the ground, and having a bad back felt it go out. For the rest of the evening I was in terrible pain as I had no excedrin or ibuprofen with me. Our guide from the resort came over to our table , so I asked her if I was supposed to fill out an incident report, and her response was, You signed a waiver. My husband may have signed one, but I did not and didn't know he did, so how could that pertain to me!? The show was the corniest thing I have ever seen. They walked or trotted around on horses. At one point two of the riders were supposed to jump their horses over a two to three foot jump, and one of the horses could not even do this and once knocked the jump down and then refused to jump again, stopping short just in front of the jump. There was an old man who was telling the story of Nalio. It was hard to follow as he used a lot of Hawaiian words and didn't translate most of it. The "dinner" was disgusting. They served a salad that was the only edible thing other than the cold cornbread however I am allergic to cucumbers and I didn't notice there were any until three bites in when I got a tiny piece. The meat was awful, chicken thighs which were dry and ribs slathered in BBQ sauce. There was mac and cheese which was way overcooked and dry, the elbows were the size of my thumbs, and it tasted gross, I ate one bite as did my husband who eats anything! We are both diabetics and the drinks they were passing out had 37 grams of sugar each, so we got to drink warm purified water that was sitting on the table when we arrived. To top it off there were mangy looking cats walking around and begging for food and attention and rubbing against my bare legs. I am allergic to cats and was very grossed out by them! I sat there wishing I could blink my eyes and be HOME.
