Easy to Use Ferry to Lanai

We booked our ferry tickets about a week in advance. We were on the first ferry out of Lahaina (6:45am) and the last ferry out of Lanai (6:45pm - actually left around 7:30pm). The... read more

The ferry is spotless, with ample seating indoors and out. There are several departures during the day, allowing for ample time to explore Lanai, and still head back to Maui the same day.

Each month with a 5th Friday is a reason to celebrate on Lanai! They've got a special ferry deal which also includes a pass for the evening festivities and transportation from the marina to town! We took the 9 am ferry, enjoyed most of the day at the beach by the marina/4 seasons hotel, and then caught a ride up... More

Trip to Lanai was well worth the time and money. Want to especially thank Letha for her last minute assistance with the arrangements. The half day guided tour on Lanai was informative and fun thanks to Bruce and the 4 wheel drive suburban. This was third trip to Maui. Move this up on your itinerary.

Forget the expensive whale watch tours and sunset dinner cruises that will run you over $100 a person. Just take the Lanai ferry for $30 and you will get to see the same thing (but no food or drinks provided). The boat had to stop yesterday because it literally almost ran over a whale! I saw plenty of tails and... More

For $30 per person each way I wouldn't even consider another way to go. Th boat is comfortable, the crew accommodating, and the trip very pleasant. The schedule is also very convenient.

We booked our ferry tickets about a week in advance. We were on the first ferry out of Lahaina (6:45am) and the last ferry out of Lanai (6:45pm - actually left around 7:30pm). The website said to get to the harbor 30 minutes prior to departure, but it's probably not necessary. They didn't start letting anyone on until about 10... More

Had the 1/2 day 4x4 tour. Glad we did not take the full day, half-day was more than sufficient. For the 6:45 AM departure on the ferry, we had a private tour with a terrific guide. Bruce was wonderfully laid back, and clearly enjoyed explaining everything about the island. One goes to Lanai for its distinct natural beauty. Ask for... More

Awesome day on Lanai! People, do your research. A lot of the negative reviews here are based on people not doing ANY research. *Call ahead to get your name on the list. We called the morning of our ride, and took the 9:15 ferry. Our names were on the list. Also, get there a half hour early like they tell... More

The ferry is the easiest, cheapest and fastest way to explore Hulopoe beach - just a 7 min walk from the jetty. The sailing takes only 45 mins with 5-6 sailings daily. You even have a good chance to spot dolphins and whales on the way.
