Great place to cool off on a hot day! Lots of benches to sit & rest your weary feet! Great place to people watch. Tree is absolutely amazing!

Ever seen anything like the Banyan Tree! Really a thing to stop and see in Maui if you can. Located in a small little park you have plenty of things to do around this little part of town.

Honestly we were going to skip seeing “the tree” because we had been to a few pubs and a hike. We thought it’s just a tree! We were at Captain Jacks and THE TREE was across the street. So we decided we are so close...More

If you're in the front street area then I would suggest to stop and have a look as it is a really cool thing to see, however i would not recommend to go out of your way just to see it. Fyi...There are a lot...More

Banyan trees are amazing and the ones in this park are excellent species, but there are Banyan trees all over Hawaii. If you are walking the main street in Lahaina, the trees are definitely worth a look.

Definitely need to check this tree out. It is beautiful. It is right by the boat dock so you can not miss it.

I don't know the answer to your question but if you can remember any store or restaurant names where he was around, I would call them and ask for help. If it was in the park, try calling the old courthouse.

I was there in October, for the first time. I don't know anyone except my cousin, who lives on the Island. : )
