This is a great little walk/easy hike. The trip to the trail is a little long down a windy but extremely scenic road. Great cliff side views and great ocean breeze. I recommend stopping at the blowhole and Honolua Bay as both spots are on the way and also worth a visit.

Started the hike in overcast skys and about half way we were in a monsoon. I don't know when I have laughed so much. We did not have rain gear, so we just got wet, and I mean wet. The trail was well defined, a very easy trek, and the rain made it very Hawaiian. Warm temperatures kept us comfortable and we only wish we had a couple if towels in the car. Needed to dry off a bit before we could get into the car. Not very muddy, but running water after the rain started but did not really have much effect after your shoes were soaked. Just kept on walking and checking out the wonderful views.

This was a nice scenic stop on the northwest side of the island. Not very much elevation change. Great views of the coast. We were here when the water was very calm but it would be cool to come here when the surf really kicks up or for whale watching. Good interpretive signs along the trail help explain the terrain and native plants.

Relative to other Maui hikes and attractions, this one is just good, not great. Don’t bother doing the full loop. Instead, start the trail by going left, take in the coastal sights and then turn back around and move on to your next attraction.

We did notice quite a bit of broken glass in the parking lot, so seems to be a targeted area for car break ins. Make sure any valuable items are either on you or out of sight. Took about 1.5 hours with small children to complete.

This trail is often overlooked by tourists, but wow is it worth a stop! A gentle trail that makes a loop passing by the jagged ocean cliffs and through lush valleys; all with stunning views. No shade here, wear a hat and sunglasses. Good spot for a picnic! Loved it!!!

Beautiful vistas. Well marked and manageable trail. Just the right level of effort…challenging enough but not too challenging. We went left at the fork, which I believe was the reverse trek of the trail. Not too crowded. Just right.

Beautiful loop trail, well maintained. It’s located about 2 miles past the blowhole turn-off. Walk the loop counter-clockwise. So beautiful, my son picked this location to propose to his fiancé last year.

Easy, short (just over 1 mile) hike along the cliffs that afford gorgeous views. Beside spectacular ocean scenery, I was surprised at how green the rest of the landscape was. We were the only ones hiking during our Wednesday visit at mid-morning. The drive heading north on Rt 30 was also not crowded and very scenic.

After doing some research, we sought out this trail because of reviews. It is located around mile marker 41- there is no sign on the road but the parking lot is pretty distinct and you cannot miss it if you are looking for it. Amazing views and a good family hike- just enough distance and terrain to make it interesting. Yet, not strenuous or long for younger kids and grandparents. Unforgettable views!
