Alec from Jungle Maui Tours....well where to begin. This private tour was way overpriced as it did not remotely measure up to the advertising. It was touted as a private tour of Lahaina Maui Jungle, waterfalls etc. Our tour guide Alec picked us up at the hotel in his Jeep Wrangler. We drove for about 2 hours without any type of engaging conversation as we drove, no music and all efforts at ''small talk'' pretty much thwarted by Alec. So we had no idea where exactly we were going or what the game plan was other than if ''we feel uncomfortable we do not have to do something...just let him know''. Well we soon went up some hills and the Jeep stopped, we got out and trekked along the rim of some hills where we did snap photos of some waterfalls. Alec filmed this as it was part of the cost to have this DVD sent to us (still never received this DVD even after calling him). Next up was some banana bread for us....it was good. Then we tried to go further up the road, but a tree had prevented us from continuing up the hill, so we parked and took some more snap shots. At this point Alec seemed to have ran out of ideas as to what to do and see (11am). So we stopped again on the road and trekked into the bamboo forest. Took some more photos as Alec recorded a video with him speaking (we thought he was speaking to us, but he was on his own trip). My wife felt uncomfortable crossing a stream so she passed on the stream crossing....good idea. I went on, slipped badly jamming my finger. Snapped more photos of bamboo. Tried to get me to do more barefooting across more slippery rocks to photo me in front of another waterfall...this time I had the sense to pass on this opportunity as the tour guide was safely on land directed this effort. That was basically it as we drove silently back to the hotel. As he dropped us off he asked if we wanted a some money back. Well we thanked him like good idiots figuring we would at least get the DVD as promised in the mail, but it never came. This tour could have been done in my 4 door Civic. There is no need to have a 4 wheel Jeep Wrangler as nowhere did we enter a Jungle. He just stops along the road and we walk into various spots. Not professional, rude and should seek other employment. At least try to engage in some discussion as to where the tour is going, what you will see and do etc. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND RISK INJURY>
