I took my wife, son, and his girlfriend to see the concert, held every Wedneday night. This was my second time to attend and they were celebrating the 13th anniversary of the show. We bought the optional dinner before the show and really enjoyed the food and setting at Napilli Kai resort. I got to the venue a little early... More

The Hawaiian islands have a rich cultural history that includes a variety of distinctive and unique musical styles. The seasoned musicians who perform at this show weekly are doing a great job of keeping the local musical traditions alive and educating the audience while providing a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining experience.

We are staying very close to the venue for the slack key show, so we walked over. Admission was $45.00 each, so we passed. However, we could hear the music from a nearby bench. We stayed for a few songs. I can't give it a full review, as we didn't catch the full ambience of the performance, however, I honestly... More

Wow! Awesome slack key guitar playing. Led Kaapana and Peter d showed some stunning ukulele chops. So nice to go to a gig run by and for the musicians. What a treat.

I love slack key Hawaiian music and was delighted that we were in Maui for a show with George Kahumoku, Jr., and his Show Ohana. His featured guest that night was Owana Salazar - in addition to her songs, she played a variety of instruments. After an intermission (when you can purchase CDs and get them signed by the artists)... More

Jerry Santos, a favorite of ours, put on a great show with Uncle George, two of Da Ukulele Boyz, and two fabulous hula dancers at Napili Kai Beach Resort last night. Santos rarely appears at this show, which is held weekly on Wednesday nights at this beautiful resort. We enjoyed an early-bird dinner (wonderful) before the show, which starts at... More

The show is every Wednesday with Hawaiian Music Masters.... what a great evening out. Each week there is a new featured musician and then a jam session at the end. The hula dancer is mesmerizing. We'll certainly go back on our next visit.

There are a lot of commercial tourist options on Maui, this is not one of them. If you want a nice evening of listening to beautiful, authentic, Hawaiian music: this is for you. The setting for the show will now 'wow' you, but the music will. Make an evening out if it by taking in the show then having dinner... More

I really loved this show because the audience was a mix of people who live on Maui as well as tourists . . . so you had the feeling of being in someone's backyard listening to a jam session. The artists are amazing musicians and exude an authentic joy in their performance. A real example of perpetuating the cultural tradition... More

Legendary slack key artist George Kohumoku, Jr. brings together his regular contributors and special guests for a great show with old traditionals and new hits from made and rising stars. What we seek when we look for Hawaiian music outside of the cocktail lounge acts so often encountered in West Maui. Everybody has a story to tell, whether with their... More
