This is a great presentation of traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music. The musicians vary each week. We were very pleased with the 3 outstanding musicians who performed the night we were there. This is a relaxed show that shares bits of Hawaiian culture and humor along with beautiful music. I would attend this show every week if I lived in... More

We weren't familiar with the artists in the Slack show. We went based on reviews and needing something to do. It was a nice show. The artists are very talented and we loved the last thirty minutes when they all played together.

It was a special experience to be at a live show hearing those same performers I've been giving thumbs up to on Pandora for years. My husband said it was worth the bumpy six hour flight from the mainland! 😄

Don't miss this show when visiting the area. This was one of the highlights of our 3-week vacation. We didn't exactly know what we were doing but boy, did it work out well. We did enjoy the dinner before the show & got in line with some people & we all ended up on the front row. We thought we'd... More

Their website offers both the show-only option as well as dinner-&-show option with dinner at the Sea House Restaurant. The show itself was "very good" but the dinner is *NOT* recommended. The show costs $37.99 but the dinner combo costs $95.00. For that additional $57, you get a dinner that costs $38 at the restaurant. The menu items offered are... More

The show this week was a great example of traditional Hawaiian music from the legendary and upcoming musicians of Hawaii. It was my sixth time to hear the Slack Key Show. We plan on Wednesday evening at the Pavilion each time we come to Maui. Slack Key Show No ka Oi.

This is Hawaii. It isn't a glamorous, high budget show. You will sit on folding chairs and sip lemonade at intermission. However, it introduces you to the sounds and personality of Hawaii in a truly heartfelt way. The guest artists are wonderful. If you can catch Jeff Peterson there or the Ukelele Boys, you are in for a treat. Teenagers... More

We were able to attend the 13th anniversary show, and so had a small sample of everything, from some very traditional players, singers and dancers to some amazing young modern ones. The hall was packed with an enthusiastic audience, many of whom appeared to be regulars including both locals and visitors. I purchased one CD and was able to have... More

This was a great show and a wonderful venue. I had seen some of the performers in Seattle a couple of years ago but seeing them here was perfect. Well worth the money and a must do for anyone staying in west Maui!

an intimate experience of the joy of Hawaiian culture - music, dance, laughter. women - wear your best Hawaiian dress and stick a flower behind your ear and you will feel right at home. Headliners rotate, with house backup musicians/dancer - each evening has a jam session quality as musicians combine in new ways to please listeners and astonish themselves... More
