Please read all reviews. Paid 1,000 for not a single bite. There was not any effort made to try to catch any fish. Drive around in circles for a few hours. Don't waster your time or money.

This was a pretty bad experience. First they tried to change the price of our fishing trip 2 times after we booked it. We showed up early at 4:55am - 35 minutes before scheduled departure of 5:30am (we were told to arrive at 5am). Not sure what we were waiting on but stood around until about 5:40 before walking to the boat. There was no live bait on this boat, even though that's what is advertised. The two guys on board made very little attempt to catch any live bait (about 15 minutes). If you advertise live bait, then you should have it on board. We then spent the next 3 hours driving in circles in the same area of the water and didn't get a single bite on any of the lines. The crew just sat up top the entire time smoking, which I got to breathe plenty of. You couldn't even sit on the back of the boat to enjoy the view without inhaling the smoke. My kids literally slept the entire time in the cabin. So we spent $900 on an uncomfortable boat ride to nowhere. There was little effort here to even try and catch anything. Felt like a scam and they knew from the start they had no intention of catching anything.…

Anthony, an excellent captain and his first mate, Ekolu, made for a fun day of fishing on The Finest Kind with fishermen from Fort Myers, Florida, Riverside Ca, New York and the Bay Area of San Francisco. Both Anthony amd Ekolu were very attentive to everyone on board trying a variety of lures and live bait. There number one concern was for our safety! We were fortunate to catch 2 Mahis and a nice fighting 27 pound Ahi on light tackle near a set of buoys well beyond Lanai. On the way back to Lahaina we had a wicked strike with a screaming giant Penn reel but unfortunately it was gone before we could start playing the fish.—- a Striped Marlin? We will never know! Upon return all the fish was fileted to perfection and divided among the guests. We had Ahi sashimi at the dock, fresh Mahi at night and homemade Ahi Poke the next day It was a beautiful day, all of the guests were friendly, the seas were mild and the overall experience excellent. I highly recommend Finest Kind Sport Fishing for a great day of fishing out of Lahaina SNP…

Booked a 4hr trip, was cancelled same day 10 minutes before departure for mechanical reasons. Told the capt was obviously disappointed, he told me he could get me another charter in the next 2 days, that didnt happen either. I hire private charters in florida every 2 months, this one in maui is the worst experience ive had, they deserve a terrible review. Obviously not many people go to maui often, so when things get cancelled its beyond disappointing and frustrating…
