About
We are the oldest butterfly farm in Hawaii and the only one that offers live butterfly farm tours in the entire State. We are a certified Monarch Waystation and strive to save the butterflies through propagation, research and education. We’re the only place in the Islands to see live Hawaiian butterflies where you can hand feed the butterflies and the caterpillars! Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Lahaina town, we're a fun little educational excursion for anyone who loves butterflies!

The grounds were lush and well taken care of, just off of the highway. The people running the tour were so friendly and kind. A low key tour, but very entertaining and relaxing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny in relating facts about the butterflies and their cycle of life. Would highly recommend the tour--very enjoyable.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! The grounds were beautiful! With amazing guides! Gained a lot of knowledge about caterpillars and butterflies! AND praying mantis! We got to feed butterflies from our honey covered finger tips! A great experience for my 8 and 17 year old! Even myself and husband had a great time! Perfect location right off the highway! Def recommend for a last minute excursion!

We weren't quite sure what to expect here, but I love butterflies and have a butterfly garden in my backyard, so we thought it would be fun. Our guide, Laura first explained the life cycle of the butterflies and showed us the butterflies in the little net cages. We also got to gently touch some caterpillars. We then went into one of the butterfly "rooms" where she showed us how to dip our finger in peach syrup and then get the butterfly to stay on our finger. It was fun to be able to hold the butterflies. After that we went into another "room" where we held out flowers and the butterflies came and sat on the flowers. We enjoyed having the butterflies fly around us and land on the flowers. We had a great time here and would definitely go back the next time we are in Maui.

We were in Maui on our honeymoon and this was our favorite tour! They seamlessly cater to all ages, provided the perfect allotment of time in the different areas, and gave tips to capture the best memories. (Take slow-mo videos.)

This was a nice and short tour.
Learned about butterflies and opportunities to be able to let them land on you.

Aloha! Yes our farm is set on loose substrate/wood chips therefore we do advertise that it is NOT suitable for walkers or wheelchairs as we often have the misters on in the flight houses which can make the ground soft and hard to navigate. The tour does last about 45 minutes. Mahalo for coming!

Tour guide was amazing but farm itself just ok. Not worth the money. Spent more time at farmers market next door and getting food from pie place
