Everything about this paddle was great from the ease of booking and relatively reasonable price to the awesome guides (Delray and Teresa) and the actual paddling. If you're on Maui during whale season this is by far the best way to see these giants up close. We started out with a quick paddling orientation on land then set out on... More

We needed to satisfy our curiosity about outrigger canoes and what it would be like to experience Hawaiian paddling! As Canadians, we are both experienced paddlers in wilderness canoeing and camping, but it is a different style of canoe there. We were excited to learn how much the Hawaiian canoes play a significant part in history, racing and developing youth... More

Each outrigger holds 4 guests (or 5 if you have a small child) Two guides are on each boat (1 in front and 1 in back of the boat. We had a group of 8 so we were in 2 boats, paddled from the Westin to Black Rock. At Black Rock a few of our group swam to Black Rock... More

We had been experiencing some beautiful weather while on Maui and wanted to get out on the water by outrigger canoe. We booked a morning paddle with Maui Paddle Sports and enjoyed it tremendously. The staff and guides (each outrigger had two guides-one in the first seat and the second in the last seat) were excellent and importantly, fun. We... More

We had a fun filled morning with Del Rey and Kapana. We learned so much about Hawaii life, whales and the art of canoeing. Thank you for getting us out into the beautiful ocean.....and back in again! And a nice welcome by Amy as well!

Excellent for people who are interested in getting out on the water but not wanting to exert themselves. We didn't go very far - around black rock to the Sheraton - and spent a fair amount of time bobbing in 3 different spots ( not too far off shore) looking for fish. We had hoped we would be doing much... More

We have had multiple successful whale watching adventures during our stay in Maui, but this was the best. We were fortunate to have a perfect day to go out, very light winds and calm seas. Additionally, and best of all, multiple close whale encounters! The guides (Michael and Scoots) were informative and fun. Will do repeat visits for sure. Highly... More

Three adults and one child (8 yo). We went out with Jamie and Ansen in an outrigger canoe and had a wonderful time. Paddled about 4 miles and really were able to get into a rhythm with each other, the guides and the ocean. Jamie was very informative about Maui, canoes, wildlife, and local lore. Ansen sat in front and... More

Amy checking us in was great, Jaime and Anson and Theresa and (I'm sorry, I can't remember his name), were fantastic guides and we learned a great deal about the island and the Hawaiian... More
